Answer:	Blue Flame = Complete Combustion If you ever took a high school chemistry class and had a chance to use a Bunsen burner, you know how adjusting the air (oxygen) supply affects the colour and temperature of the flame. When you adjusted the Bunsen burner to increase the air supply you got more complete combustion, less soot, a higher temperature and a blue flame. When comparing different gases, you will discover that they required different amounts of air for complete combustion. To burn properly LPG (Propane) requires an air-to-gas volume ratio of about 24:1. For Butane, it is about 31:1. Natural gas (Methane) requires an air-to-gas volume ratio of about 10:1. Incomplete combustion also results in hazardous carbon monoxide: Less Oxygen

Answer:	We dug a shallow hole and dropped a flat square ( so water drains easily) sheet of metal in to build the fire on. Not needed, but we have done this once before with good results. The ring itself it above ground surrounded by brick.

Answer:	This uses a very small battery for ignition. The life of it is usually not an issue.
Question:	will this connect to a house line to a stove
Answer:	I had a scenario where this heater made a serious billowing smoke show. Kicked the smoke detectors off immediately. Only happened 2- 3 times in a 2 ish year period. It happened with this propane heater too. Don't let this scare you though. Can happen with any infrared heater. It only happened several times over a period of about 2 years. So it probably only happened 1 out of a thousand times where the pilot light was on, but for some reason when it went to light up the burner bricks it malfunctioned and billowed out smoke like you wouldn't believe. Made it hard to get to the heater to turn it off. ALWAYS worked after simply turning it off, and ligting it up again. Maybe another reason why you must have working smoke detectors. Doesn't keep me from buying another one! Overcome your fears. Doesn't mean you won't first feel afraid if smoke suddenly starts pouring out of the kitchen. Lol. NEVER let your fears control you. Everything breaks it's just a matter of time. Keep safety # 1.
Question:	Lp gas converter 3/8 to
Answer:	There is no real thermostat in Mr. Heater. It is more of a reostat the controls the time the 5 panels are on and off. At the number 1 setting the panels are on a short time and off a longer time. As you go from 1 up the panels stay on longer and the off time gets shorter. I have not been able to run on the 5 setting as the CO2 sensor turns the heater off after two cycles of setting 2. My external carbon dioxide sensor also goes off after 15 minutes of operation and on setting 2 and after the Mr Heater CO2 sensor turns off the propane. I would not recommend this heater to anyone.

Answer:	As far as I know, a 20# and 30# tanks atr the same. Assume a 40# is the same standard fitting
Question:	I am concerned about having to use a battery to ignite the pilot light. Is this a problem and are there other types of ignition systems
Answer:	Wow!!! Great question??? I would probably say..... Yeah. You would have to keep the 20# tank up side down and connect the adapter to the end of the hose and all (Safety Safety Safety) but I am sure it could work. Possible unintentional consequences... more propane loss every time you disconnect and re-connect (expelling propane from the entire hose length vs just from adapter at 20# tank connection) Would deffinately make sure area you are doing this in would be well ventilated... Of course all the safety measures.... but.... I would think it would work. (I am in no way stating that this is something that can be or could be done and my opinion is only that, an opinion!) Hope this helps. I am going to fabricate me a stand for a 20# tank and give this idea a go.

Answer:	This fire ring does not require a fire grate.

Answer:	I did not put a micrometer on it but it's pretty thin.

Answer:	Is the stump still in the ground? If so it takes a long time to burn a stump. I have drilled holes in the stump and then filled them with kerosene. Left them for a day and lit them the next day. It burned for quite a while but then still had to do it many times before I was rid of the stump.

Answer:	I don't turn mine up very high. Usually keep it only about 12 to 14 inches. Be smart where you place your pit. The wind does not cause problems for me

Answer:	I've got my 18" Burner Ring covered with lava rock and a few ceramic logs. Using a 20# propane tank with a 10# adjustable regulator, I can set the flame to be anywhere from 6" to 36". However, the the higher the flame the faster your going to run out of propane. I've found that with the flame set at about 12", we get adequate heat and we can spend about 6-8 evenings (1-2 hours) on the back porch before i have to refill the bottle.

Answer:	I guess it wouldn’t hurt, but make sure the paint specifies it prevents rust. My pit is in the back yard, and only small amounts of rust. If it gets unsightly, I will paint over it, but it’s a fire pit I don’t mind the rustic look.

Answer:	Not that I see, just cloth which you should purchase elsewhere. Could probably fab a steel though

Answer:	I used fire glass and it works fine. Sand I’m not sure about. The inside of the column is hollow, which houses the tank.

Answer:	Yes, this must be used in a well ventilated area (not indoors). It requires 10' of clearance from combustibles, 6' of clearance from the table surface to an overhead surface and 4' of clearance from any walls.

Question:	Can I set this on the ground circling a tree stump and then burn the tree stump
Answer:	Officially I cannot say. Unofficially, I absolutely would not cook on this grate until you build a raging inferno below and on top of and vigorously wire brush afterwards. Then, do it again. And again... Really well built product however. I only wish it was about 3” taller on the ring size so it could be sunk deeper into the ground.
Question:	Can I fit two of these together to make one large ring
Answer:	15 1/2 inches by 19 1/4 inches.

Question:	How deep is the bowl that holds the rock
Answer:	Of course you can...as long as the tree stump is smaller in diameter that the fire ring. But why? This is a decorative fire ring, not a control system for a stump but out. Just have the stump ground.

Answer:	Yes i believe so. the reason is because i have never personally tried or anyone try before but i'm almost 100% sure just because they all have have the same hook to put the pieces together so it just makes sense. If you need anything else i'm here to assist, Thank you. Stay Safe :)
