As with a "clicker", the device must be registered with the garage door operator. Sounds to me like you're very confused. This is NOT an operator, it is a radio frequency control just like a clicker. I urge you to obtain the assistance of someone who is knowledgeable in this area.

Answer:	How old is your garage door opener? I had that same problem and found out that my older garage door opener (15+ years old) only allowed 2 clicker types units to be programed/used at a time. This means when I added the keypad clicker, it bumped off one of my remotes from working. Sounds to me like this is what is happening to you. I am sure the newer units don't have this problem

I'm not sure what the manufacturer recommendations are on outside mounting but the unit would not be useful if not outside and easily accessible. I thought about keeping it out of any direct sun but I'm not sure how important that factor is. It mounts flush and when in the closed position is very snug.

It worked flawlessly, I just installed it this past weekend (oct 25, 2014) Was worried I was going to need to install some lab version, but it showed up as a garage door opener, it reports open/closed, it can be activated as the app. I haven't set any special rules for it as I am still new to SmartThings, but based on its behaviors so far, it's rock solid. Also the device was pretty easy to install. The unit comes as 2 parts, a tilt sensor, and a box (thats in the photo) that mounts up near the opener itself. The tilt sensor runs on batteries, the unit needs to be plugged in, so that could be a problem if you dont have an available power outlet near the garage door opener. It also does not interrupt or affect the normal open close action of your buttons or remotes.

Answer:	The instructions say this will work with any CodeDodger garage door openers. You'll have to look at your instructions or find them on the web to see if you have a CodeDodger compatible system. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes it will open up a max of 3 Overhead brand openers using the same pin. 1. Program your pin. 2. Setup for multiple doors. To use enter your programmed pin, select the “up/down button”, select the door you want opened (e.g. you would enter 1 or 2 or 3). Selected door opens.

Question:	After installing bulb, do you turn on the power and leave it on
Answer:	Yes, leave your light switch on. A sensor inside the bulb will take care of switching on and off. Amazing product. I have them on the front and rear entrances and both sides of the garage. No problem also in subzero weather. Best part is they are on only when dark so expecting less than 3 dollars a year of electrical usage to keep all 4 of them lighting up my home.
Question:	If I have three bulbs grouped relatively close to one another will they still function properly? Will light from other bulbs cancel out the censor
Answer:	If the bulbs are close to each other and in sight of each other, yes, they will cancel each other. I have a 2-bulb porch light with a decorative cover. I had to insert a cardboard partition between the two bulbs, so light from one would not reach the other. That worked, and now they both come on.
Question:	Will these work in an outside light fixture turned upside down. I seem to have problems with dusk to dawn sensor is when turned upside down
Answer:	These bulbs work fine dusk to dawn for us. And, yes, they do screw into the fixture upside down.

Answer:	I just tried the motion-sensor bulb in a (very slightly) frosted glass lantern and it does not work. I will have to try it somewhere else. But the dusk-to-dawn bulbs work perfectly in frosted glass.

Answer:	The key pad is wired to another box, which is wired to the opener. These keeps the keypad from being ripped off the wall and the wires shorted to open the door

Answer:	I bought 2. One is installed on a old "Overhead" brand opener. These are "wired" not wireless. They should work with any garage door opener with a pushbutton, but you have to run wires to them. I have not had a problems, they work fine.
Question:	Will this key pad work on a older opener before 1980 model
Answer:	yes, if you have a hard wired button it will work. It is simply a dry set of contacts after the code is verified. Setting the code is very simple also. The hardest part is not even that hard (drilling a hole for the comm link between the outside key pad and the inside switch/programmer) after that its two wires between your button switch and your new switch/program box.
Question:	I just bought one of this for my middle school son to enter the house
Answer:	I haven't done an experiment, but it's unlikely someone could hot wire the opener. The codes are stored in the program box inside the house or garage. The lead wires just carry the key taps from the keypad, they shouldn't activate the opener by being hot wired.
