Answer:	NO, NO, NO....I bought one of these 4 days ago at a local retailer. It says made in USA all over the box. Before I bought it, I called the number on the website, and asked the customer support person where it was made. She told me that the parts are made in the USA, but they are assembled in Mexico. I was looking for an AMERICAN MADE, AMERICAN BUILT unit, but I was under a time crunch. Reluctantly, I bought it. I opened the box, and the first thing I saw was a sticker on the motor that said made in china, plain as day. I used this thing one time. It did work, and made ice cream as advertised, but after washing it, drying the parts, and putting it away, I looked at it again 2 days later, and the metal mechanism that the paddles attach to were rusting!! Are you kidding me?? $270.00 for one batch of ice cream! What a bargain. Needless to say I returned it today. Their own company doesn't even know where their products are made!! If it seems like I am upset, I am. Nothing is made in the USA anymore, and quality suffers tremendously. By the way, all the inside metal parts are plated, not stainless steel like they should be. The only thing I saw that was stainless was the actual cylinder. Don't waste your money. If anyone out there knows of a truly American made and American built ice cream maker, please tell us on here.

Answer:	I use this for storing frozen mice for my snakes. More hygienic (thus, less disgusting) than storing frozen feeder rodents (or raw poultry and other meat) with any of your family's foodstuffs that won't be cooked before they are eaten! The lack of an auto defrost feature is actually an advantage, since temperatures fluctuate little except when you are defrosting manually.

Answer:	Yes, I re-freeze this after making sorbet/ice cream and then put the frozen treat in a container that fits inside. I thencover with another cold/freezer pack and put in cooler bag. After 1.5 hours of driving the sorbet was still solid.

Question:	Is there a difference with using these compared to reusing a store bottom gallon container
Answer:	The ones I purchased are a little more than quart, not a gallon. But, I would say, yes, these are better. The container is thicker and the flexible lids are so easy to remove.

Answer:	Well a long time ago we learned that ice cream will melt if left out regardless of the container it is in.......hope that helps :)
Question:	Not one reivew I read mentioned freezing soup though it is included in the product info. Is this container truly recommended for freezing soup
Answer:	I have not tried freezing soup in this container but the lid fits tightly so I think it would be okay. Still, I would try to keep the container as upright as possible until the contents were frozen, just to be sure. Also, it would probably heat up better in the microwave if the contents weren't frozen to one side of the container instead of the bottom. These are quality products.

Answer:	These containers are absolutely worth the money. I was skeptical too, but they are very high quality. They do not frost and form ice crystals inside or on the outside of the container the way that cheaper plastic or paper containers do.

Question:	How can i get a replacement lid? I lost one
Answer:	I have not seen replacement lids BUT there are silicone stretch lids on amazon that will fit and will be durable.
Question:	I have chicken broth cooking now! once the broth cools down, i should be able to freeze it in these containers, right
Answer:	I dont see why not, but I would secure the lid with rubber bands, to make sure they stay on. I only use my containers for ice cream.

Question:	Manufacturer: 1) Are the lids 100% silicone? How best to remove odors from lids after six months of use? Freezer use = stinky lids
Answer:	You can bake the lid (if silicone) in the oven at 325 for around 15-20 minutes and the smells will evaporate off. This works for Quickpot silicon sealing rings and the Stasher silicon storage bags as well.

I do not know because I have never tried to make ice blocks in them (I just store homemade ice cream in mine) I guess it could work to make ice blocks in the containers, but I can't promise that.
