Answer:	Hi Sam,You'll want to measure width and length to get the acreage, but you also do want to look at depth. A quart of this product treats up to 1 acre, but it assumes that the depth is 4-6' deep. So you could say that this product treats 4-6 acre-feet (acre-feet is just the acreage times the depth). Once you determine the surface area of your pond, multiply that times the average depth. A typical bowl-shaped pond has an average depth that is 0.4 times the deepest point. However, it is more accurate to take several measurements and average them out. Answer:	Depends on how much rain and how many times you backwash your filter. If you cannot see the bottom you put too much dye in the water, the pond should be Blue and transparent. You should only introduce a tablespoonful at a time and let it circulate fully before introducing more dye. I wait until I see a slight color change flowing from the filter.

Answer:	The dosing for the product starts at 1 bottle (quart) to every acre with an average depth of 4-6 feet. So I would start applying 4 quarts and have an extra on hand. Colorant is largely based on personal preference so 4 quarts would be good starting point. If you want a deeper color than add more. *If your average depth is a lot more than 6 feet you may need more.

Answer:	Not sure how many come in a case. I can say this, you’ll need a whole case to get any color at all. The customer service from this seller is horrible. I had to buy 3 gallons just to make a slight color in my pond. I would buy something different from someone else

Answer:	Not sure why you would grow barley in a pond, but this product will shade out the light to slow growth of green plants under the water

Answer:	I have had it on a shelf for a year or more and reorder more when the container is 1/2 or 2/3 gone. I have not found it's effectiveness weakening at all.

Answer:	Yes, this is far too much. It would take less than an ounce to dye your 900 gallon pond. You can try searching for "Crystal Clear Pond tint" to find a dye designed for small ponds.

Answer:	I do not know if there is any interaction with this product and chlorine. It is meant for ponds, lakes and Koi Ponds. Not swimming pools.

Answer:	I don’t think so our pond just got filled and we have some grass that came up on the sloped bank. The bottom of the grass is under water and still growing we are going to get a hoe and cut it off under the water to see if that stops the growth. Not much help since I don’t really know, but I will say it’s a good product for coloring the water.

Answer:	This product is made for ponds that are 1.5 million gallons (1 acre). While the product is 100% safe for Koi because it is pond dye and beneficial pond bacteria I would have no way of giving you dosing for such a small body of water. You may be better off using a product made for smaller bodies of water. Deco Crystal Blue Colorant (B01H2ICDBG) and Deco Natural Pond Cleaner (B000IOAMBU).

Answer:	I bought this product after using my annual weed control for Floating Prime-rose (hard to eradicate). It is a pond weed that has to be treated every spring that lasts through the season. I use Sepro that really does work. I have used colorant before to get rid of brownish water. This had a booster for bacteria added and my pond water never looked better. I am very surprisingly happy. Not sure what the manufacturer would recommend about applying now instead of spring. If you after the blue color that happens overnight and the booster took a couple of weeks to really clear the water. I had debris from the prime rose to remove. I will purchase this product again!
