HOW TO DO LEAKAGE TEST

1. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover.
2. Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected with detector. If the pipe needs to be disconnected in the middle. Please secure the other side with a rubber stopple.
3. Secure this side with proper taper stopple/pipe, and connect it with smoke output tube.
4. Connect detector with DC12V battery: red with positive, black with negative. Do not connect in a contrary way.T
5. urn on the power switch, and detector starts to work.
6. In about 3 minutes, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use head lamp if necessary.
7. After leak detection, please connect well the wires and pipe.

Maintenance:

With longtime high temperature, the smoke and oil will oxidize and deteriorate. It will infect the service life of smoke generated part, so please change smoke and oil regularly.

Question:	if, i install this 510 grear drive kit, without taking off the head do i need the quickee pushrods or just a the ajustable. am installing new tappet
Answer:	You just need the adjustable (S&S or similar). I did exactly this on my 2005 FLSTN 88ci softail deluxe. Ordered it all here. Follow S&S instructions & watch youtube S&S videos.Get a set of bolt cutters from Harbor Freight to cut the OEM pushrods. Also, get a clamp-on, goose-neck dial gauge from HF. It will allow you to measure the crank runout, which has to be under .003". Mine was fine. Clamp a smartphone onto a mic stand or something similar, videotaping while you then spin the rear wheel. The video will have dial gauge readings. Watch your tappet/lifter preload per S&S instructions. Make sure the adjustables are tightened correctly.
Question:	Does this work w/ the stock 99-2005 cam plate? or does one need the upgraded HD cam plate for this? also, how did you check for crank runout
Answer:	My new cams are happily spinning in the stock plate (2005 FXD). New oil pump was installed. My mechanic did check 'runout', reported all fit within spec right out of the box...I wasn't there to see how this was done. I already had the adjustable push rods so this was relatively a quickie.I recommend this upgrade, engine runs stronger than SE 203's and I'm not worried about the chain tensioner killing the engine

Answer:	Nope, I believe you can go as high as .542 lift before any valve springs or valves need replacing. I'm running these in a stock 2001 Harley Davidson Fatboy with no problems. I also took the long way around and used my stock pushrods, a little more work but less money spent.

Answer:	I did this with my 2001 88B. I used the old plate. I had to have a shop do the "press" part for me. Also you need to measure the crank drift. The kit is noisy. Be prepared for that. I worriedly about mine. I had an engineer from S&S listen to it at Sturgis and they said it was fine. But it is noisy and it takes a little getting use to it.

Answer:	I believe it should. It inflates my tire quick however keep in mind that you can't gauge the correct pressure for a floaty and it will burst. You might can set the pound setting really low and the floaty still not meet that pressure before it cuts off. Just watch it while it inflates but be careful.

Answer:	Yes this pump is compatible with Presta and Schrader valves. It has a hose which is stored inside the pump, you unscrew one end and pull the hose out. On one end of the hose is the attachment for presta valve and the other end is the schrader attachment. You simple screw in the hose so the correct valve side is at the end of the hose and then screw that end into the valve stem of your bike. I've used this pump for almost two years with no issues. Answer:	Short answer YES ... Long Answer: I have a petit 7 year old girl to a stout 13 year old boy to my middle age dad hand. We can all use it, but it fits us each differently as you would expect. With that said I thought this was frivolous purchase. Now I can not see me drawing with out it. Reduces heat build up between hand and screen and oil build up on screen from hand. Hope this helps. Question:	Is this unit quiet? IE can it be heard running when mounted in a cabinet on a rubber pad
Answer:	I have it in a cabinet on a cement floor in my basement. I can hear it run while when it pumps the laundry water. When the dryer is running at the same time it is louder than when the pump runs for the washer.

Answer:	most codes require it to be connected since these pumps are almost always located in the basement . most codes will allow the vent be run through the basement wall , not located within 10 feet of a window , you can also use a automatic vent unit , sized 11/2 or 2 inch . pulls air from room pump is located in .
Question:	Can I reduce the 1 1/2" discharge down to 3/4' or 1/2" to run through a pex line? Or will that create too much back pressure for the pump

Answer:	You can reduce it to 1" if needed as long as the run is not longer, because the pump will have to push that much harder.

Question:	Anyone else had a problem making the 'tee' handle? It seems like it will break if I force it
Answer:	Thank you for your question, the handle swivels 90 degrees from center and should require a small amount of force to rotate it. It does snap into place to stop it from opening up when not in use. You may need to apply some additional force to make it pop open but you should not break it. We hope this answers your question.

Question:	What's the warranty for this item
Answer:	It is limited lifetime warranty. It DOES NOT cover normal wear and tear for such items as pump internals, hoses (if applicable), pump head valve dust cover/plug, Velcro, etc. I hope this help and I had mine for a couple of years and I still haven't had any problems.
