Question:	My pump stopped working and when i pulled it out it started smoking. what do i do?it dosent turn on at all
Answer:	Return it to the manufacturer. I've purchase two of these pumps and they worked for a few weeks then they stopped. They were replaced but the replacements only lasted a few weeks. I have a smaller one that I purchased as a backup for when I purchase new kois, don't know if that is still coming on. I think that there is a serious problem with these pumps I would definitely never purchase these again

The pump works on battery, but it's not controlled by the switch. When you turn it off, LED/pump both turn off. But if you turn on the switch, LED/pump would NOT turn on immediately. Answer:	I use pure kleen media filter. Put pump in a bowl with filter on top also use this filter in bigger pond with electric pumps. Can buy on amazon but I buy in bulk.

Answer:	The maximum flow is fixed. The actual flow depends directly on the amount of sun rays hitting the solar panel. If you are using flexible tubing to connect the pump to the outlet, the maximum flow could be indirectly adjusted either by varying the length or material of the tubing, or by tightening or constricting the flexible tubing.

Question:	Are both sides of the filter open or is one side closed? I currently have a filter that is open on only one end for a fountain
Answer:	the foam filter is open on both ends but the plastic tube that it goes over is not. Just connect to the pump. That pump connection end needs to be compatible with the filter tube.
Question:	will it fit all beckett pumps
Answer:	There are 2 different sizes. One is a 4 inch and the other is a six inch. This item was a pack of two six inch filters. I find they work well for a small pond but do clog afer a few days. The six inch fits beckett pump #7300410 listed as crystal pond. You can always cut it to 4 inches if you need to.
Question:	After a few washes, the filter doesn't seem to capture as much algae before it is clogged. How should I clean it
Answer:	I usually clean the filter at least once a week. Rinse in a bucket of water for a few times until the water is not so green. It does become softer in time so you have to replace it after a few months. You nay want to try adding a UV light to your system to help break down the algae.
