Answer:	I have the round 12' w x 30" h pool that came with the 530 gph filter pump that has 1 1/4" hoses and this 1000 gph pump was a direct replacement. No hose adapters were needed. I'm not exactly sure what the model number is of the 530 gph pump but the hoses fit perfectly onto this pump. All I did was plug the inlet/outlet openings in the pool with the plugs that came with the pool and swapped out the pump. Took 5 minutes. I found a lot of the reviews here confusing because some seemed to indicate that hose adapters would be necessary but that turned out not to be the case. I'm pretty happy with this pump. Works waaaay better than the 530 gph.

Answer:	My original original pump cartridge has 2 black and 1 brown also, the float switch has 2 brown and 1 black. The black wire on the float switch goes to the 2nd black wire on the cartridge. Shouldn't the black wire from the float switch be connected to the black wire on the cartridge? (piggy back to the black (ground))

Answer:	YES. I just upgraded my 500 GPH (2855) with this 750 GPH (2857) on my live well. Dimensions on the cartridges are exactly the same. The 2855 draws 2.5 amps and the 2857 draws 3 amps. Both call for 5 amp fuse.

Answer:	The glass is made of glass. So no BPA there. The stopper I am not sure. They can go into the dishwasher however if your using for kombucha, I wouldn’t. The dishwasher heat ruins the seal in the gaskets and it won’t be as carbonated. Also the bottles need to cleaned with a bottle brush because the dishwasher misses stuff.

Question:	Where do the wires disconnect
Answer:	The "Round Knob" is for testing; specifically for testing the float switch mechanism. Turn the knob clockwise and it'll lift the float and the pump should turn on. If not, there is an issue with the circuit somewhere. Here's how to hook up your pump and test it. The "Black" wire is your "Negative." The "Brown" wire is the power wire for "Automatic (Float)" operation. Connect the black wire to your boat's negative terminal. Connect the brown wire to a fused positive terminal. The pump should now run if you turn the test knob, or turn the pump upside down. The "Brown" wire with a stripe is for "Manual Operation." With the black wire connected to negative, connect the brown wire with a stripe to your positive terminal. The pump should run. if not, then there is a problem with the motor circuit or the way you connected the pump. If the pump runs manually, but not automatically, then there is an issue with the float switch circuit. You can easily test the pump while out of the boat. You just need access to a 12 volt battery and a fuse for protecting the circuit and yourself. Attwood specifies a 5 amp fuse to be used for this pump. Follow these Steps: 1) Connect the black wire from the pump to the negative (-) terminal of a 12 volt battery. 2) Connect the brown wire from the pump to the fused positive (+) terminal of a 12 volt battery. 3) Turn the "Test" knob clockwise. The pump should turn on. If the pump runs, good. Now release the knob and the pump should turn off. 4) Tap the brown wire with the stripe to the fused positive battery terminal. This should turn the pump on until you remove the wire from the terminal. If the pump doesn't run in automatic mode, but does in manual, the float switch circuit is faulty. If it doesn't run in manual operation either, the motor is likely bad. This is provided you've made the connections correctly and have powered the circuit properly. In any case the pump needs to go back as it is faulty. All of the information you need is in the manual that came with the pump. Here's what you need for the electrical end. 1) Brown, and black wire is for automatic operation. 2) Brown with stripe, and black wire is for manual operation. 3) A 5 amp fuse to be placed on the positive terminal at the power source. 4) A bilge pump switch. This is a single pole, double throw, center off switch. 5) Connect the power terminal of the bilge switch to the fused terminal in step 3 above. 6) Connect the brown wire from the pump to the "Automatic" terminal on the bilge switch. 7) Connect the brown wire with stripe to the "Manual" terminal on the bilge switch. If done correctly your pump will run when water makes the float rise in "Automatic" mode. It'll then shut off when the water level lowers the float. If the automatic section of the pumps fails when you're on the water you can turn the pump on manually through the switch.

Had a several yr old eco264 that was almost silent, SOMETHING CHANGED. their 396gph unit is quieter to me. 2x 264s in a plastic tank make as much noise as a small dehumidifier. fwiw eco reef chillers used to be good till "made in china". Now look on here at revies. Lots of problems. Im replacing my Ecoplus units with actual MAG DRIVE pumps.

Answer:	Mine (1083GPH) came with a 3/4th inch adapter that you can attach a hose to if you cut one of the ends off an old hose. I attached an old garden hose to mine. I just put the end of the hose in near boiling water and it fit right on the 3/4th inch adapter.

Answer:	It came with a strainer style filter which works better for me. It doesn't clog up as often as the foam filter. The power cord is at least 6 feet long.

Answer:	I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be safe to use in salt water. It is a totally sealed unit. I am running mine in a tank with anti-freeze in it.If you know anything about anti-freeze and plastics, it tends to get thru any low quality seal. I have had no problems in that area. Tank seals leak, but not the pump.Hope this helps.
Question:	Can you a just the water flow on danner model 9.5 02720 More or less water to fountain
Answer:	There is no built in water flow adjustment on the 950 pump. You will have to install a ball valve or some other flow control valve to control the water flow.

Improved design and performance means that our new 500 GPH pump will produce this flow at just 12 volts rather than 13.6 volts as previously required, more typical of on board voltage supply. Our next generation of Rule pumps include check valves and to do this we've created a hidden air vent to prevent airlocking. Under each strainer tab there is a small hole that vents any air trapped in the pump housing preventing airlocks. We have true electromagnetic suppression (EMC) and have a built-in thermal cell that protects the pump and the vessel when things get too hot. Answer:	25D is old style with 500 gph at 13.5 volts. The 25DA is a new style with different outlet sizes that screw on the discharge port and is 500 gph at 12 volts with an anti-airlock feature built in. The 25D is a good pump but the 25DA has more features and slightly more output.

Question:	My pump stopped working and when i pulled it out it started smoking. what do i do?it dosent turn on at all
Answer:	Return it to the manufacturer. I've purchase two of these pumps and they worked for a few weeks then they stopped. They were replaced but the replacements only lasted a few weeks. I have a smaller one that I purchased as a backup for when I purchase new kois, don't know if that is still coming on. I think that there is a serious problem with these pumps I would definitely never purchase these again
