Answer:	Yes, you can easily measure 2500 ppm. In fact one can measure ppm of 9000 easily. I was able to measure ppm of about 9500. But once the ppm of the salt solution exceeds 10,000, the salinity checker display went blank and was not able to read anything. Note that the instrument is rated to measure a ppm of 9999.

Answer:	I think it does. It makes be a few points off, not sure, but our salt reader went out on our pool and was going to cost a boatload of money. Our pool guy recommended getting a meter. Since I keep our salt in a range of 2900-3400ppm I am not too concerned if it is perfect so I haven’t tested it. I am pleased with this. Serves me well.

How to use?

Answer:	Yes. But perhaps not in the way you are thinking. This measures the concentration of sugar in a sugar/water mixture. That ultimately translates to the final gravity of beer or wine AFTER fermentation (limited by the type of yeast used). Cheers!
