Answer:	We have two sets, and yes, I'm afraid they do. I have one set upstairs and a sensor right outside my sliding door and that readout is registering fine. But one sensor is crossing over to one of the sensors downstairs. The other sensor is okay because it's in the room only a few feet away and the readout from it is fine. The downstairs unit has a sensor on our back porch and that readout is fine. But the other readout is registering from my sensor upstairs. So, yes it's confusing and we haven't figured out a way to keep them all separated....................

Question:	I have a pitmaker Vault which has 2 1/4 inch insulated walls. Will the bluetooth signal connect to the block as long as its right outside the smoker
Answer:	Although I can't speak to this particular smoker, I can say that for an all-steel smoker any RF signal inside (like Bluetooth) trying to get out (and vice-versa) will have a real hard time because your smoker is essentially an unintentional "Faraday cage." (feel free to Google it!) Ceramic smokers, although thick walled, are not made of steel and so Bluetooth signals can penetrate, even if the range is reduced.
Question:	Can you set a low temp setting if smoker goes below your set temp
Answer:	No... The meater only calculates time to cook at the desired doneness, and alarms when the food reaches a temperature that will allow it to rest and turn out at the desired temp. You could monitor the ambient temperature in the smoker throughout a smoke with the meater, but there is no low temp alarm.
Question:	is there a problem with flare ups on the grill while cooking steaks? would this damage the end of the probe
Answer:	Flare ups have been less of a problem unless they are continuous. A bigger challenge is shifting from normal searing to reverse searing where you finish the steak with a high temp sear AFTER removing the probe. Personally, I wish the probes handled 800 degrees or so to remove that issue but I understand that may be challenging. I love the unit and found it especially helpful with smoking or roasting for long time periods. The ability to predict completion time is very cool.

Answer:	No, the adjustment is internal of the transmitting unit. You can identify how far off it is by placing the temperature probe in boiling water and comparing it to the temperature that it should read which is 212 °F @ sea level. With each 500-feet increase in elevation, the boiling point of water is lowered by just under 1 °F. At 7,500 feet, for example, water boils at about 198 °F. Just make sure that the probe is not in contact with the metal pot as that will result in an erroneous temperature.

Answer:	To set your own temp you must choose CUSTOM temp. I too wish I could set the meat temps instead of the USDA recommendation of burn till tough. All germs die at 157 degrees. So if the temp of (all) your meat goes to at least 157 then you are safe.

My sensor is about 12 meters from the receiver, and the signal has to pass through 5 wood frame walls.
