Answer:	If you are referring to the current price shown (S$368.xx) compared to NTF3000 (S$198.xx), that is largely due to the current inflicted pricing. When I bought it in late January 2020, it was in fact cheaper than NTF3000. Prior to COVID-19 pandemic, the price was just marginally higher than NTF3000. BNT400 (aka '3-in-1 No Touch' in USA) has additional feature which is calibrated for different age group. Furthermore, it's sensor is likely to be different than NTF3000 hence it is capable to detect food and bath water temperature rather accurately. From an industrial terminology, what that means is that the thermoscan is capable to switch between different 'Nominal Surface Emissivity' (human body NSE is different from food/water NSE which is 0.93). NTF3000 likelihood does not have the ability to switch between NSE, hence cheaper. Hope this helps.

I discovered it could be several factors: different insertion in the ear, earwax and the last time it happened to me my daughter had an ear infection in the ear with the higher reading. Answer:	According to the instruction booklet, turn the unit off. Then press and hold the power button about 3 seconds. The display should show the sequence F / SET / C / SET. Release the power button when the desired temperature scale is shown. There should be a short beep to confirm the new setting. The unit should shut off by itself.

Answer:	Apparently, you can switch back and forth between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Press start button for 8 seconds until it switches between the two settings. If you wish to switch to Fahrenheit (°F), proceed as follows:Make sure the thermometer is turned off. Press and hold down the «start» button. Why Measure in the Ear?

Braun ThermoScan measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and surrounding tissue. Since the eardrum shares blood supply with the temperature control center in the brain, the ear accurately reflects the core body temperature. When the temperature rises, it is immediately detectable in the ear. The result: the ear is an excellent site to measure temperature.

Lens Filters Improve Accuracy and Safety

To ensure the accuracy of every temperature reading, a new clean lens filter should be used for each measurement. Lens filters protect the tip from scratches, as well as from impurities such as earwax, which might adversely affect the accuracy. Furthermore, exchanging the lens filter before every temperature reading virtually eliminates the risk of spreading germs from one person to the next.

For ease of use, a lens filter detector makes sure that a lens filter always is in place, and a lens filter ejector makes removing used lens filters as easy as can be.

Answer:	I ordered 3/23/2020, Monday, it shipped two days later on the 25th. It's China post so there isn't much on the tracking data but I still have an estimated arrival date of April 14-May 4ish. I'm in the USA too. Probably doesn't help much but it may help you a little in deciding to order.
