Answer:	Hello,The first way to check if the batteries are working is if the light on the top comes on at night, then the batteries are charged. You can turn the solar panel off and leave it in the sun for 2-3 really sunny days to try and boost charge the batteries. Answer:	I have this in my office waiting room and yes, it does splash. We actually placed a protective covering under all the plants and the waterfall. Without that the carpet would get wet. The more water the more splash. We use it for white noise which it provides but I would prefer something more soothing and less powerful.

Answer:	If the fountain is outside, the wind will tend to blow some water out of the fountain...Ive notice on a calm day I don’t have to add water, but if the winds blowing, I do, more wind, more water...you will always need to add water to some degree, whether form splash over, or just evaporation...it’s not a closed system...

Answer:	I plug the fountain pump into an outdoor GFI so the fountain is on all the time. I plug the lights into a timer so the lights come on and go off at the times I set the timer to. I've had this fountain 3 plus years and it is of good quality. I use only distilled water and give it a good cleaning once a year. I hope this is helpful.

Do you have it set to run on solar or by battery, as it will need to charge before the battery can run it. Please check all of your connections to ensure that they are secure and tight. Question:	If I changed the solar panel to the sunnydaze two 10watt panels would that help this pump work in less then bright direct sunlight
Answer:	The fountain comes with 16 feet of cord from panel to pump. If you cannot locate a spot to receive direct sunlight within that distance, it wouldn't make a difference how many panels you could connect. The panel and pump are matched. The panel produces a certain wattage and the pump runs off that produced wattage.
Question:	Does the white circular base come with the fountain? If yes, could this base be buried in the ground, so only the shaft itself is visible
Answer:	hellothe circular base is shown because that is how it was set up in the flower bed - you don't have to use it but we did. We have sold a lot of these and as long as it is on a flat level surface the fountain should be fine - also with added water it makes it heavier as well. There are no anchors to attach the fountain to the base. Unfortunately there is not another size for this fountain. I hope this helps.Thank you

Answer:	We recommend the fountain be drained and everything be brought indoors if possible. If not, drain the fountain, remove the pump and bring inside and then cover the entire fountain making sure that no precipitation can get into the fountain and freeze causing the fountain to crack. Question:	How do you clean this--do you have to remove all the rocks each time
Answer:	This is hard to clean. I removed the pebbles and it looks just as good. But the pyramid is hard to clean. I use a tooth brush to get into between each level. At my house we get a lot of birds and crows who sit on the fountain. So that also makes it dirty. Very beautiful fountain but takes time to clean. I do it once every 3 weeks. If you keep the pebbles than each pebble has to be wiped down.

Question:	Is the water sound more high piched or lower? Is it like the video in this Amazon listing
Answer:	The fountain sounds like a small stream trickling, it sounds natural. I don't know if that is high pitched or not, but its very soothing. Before each water fall there is a sponge that is used to regulate water flow. It does change it's sound when the sponges become clogged, but when we notice this we know it's due for a cleaning. We use it for sleeping, it creates a very nice atmosphere. Since it has multiple water falls, it really sounds like a little stream - best description in words I can give.

Question:	Could I use a smaller pump to decrease the water flow
Answer:	probably; but can also use a clamp on the hose to reduce water flow as well
Question:	Someone commented on the coating coming off after one season. Can a clear waterproof type coating be put on it
Answer:	I think any discoloration ads to the fountain. I would not put a coating or anything on it because then you have to worry about that pealing off. Let it be rustic.
Question:	Too loud?. We are planning on having it about 8 feet away from a firepit dining table to add ambiance to our deck
Answer:	On a deck is great. That's where I ended up putting mine. I had it indoors, but it splashes a LITTLE. The pump is not loud, the sound of the water is, but it's very nice. You get used to it in about 30 seconds. Just make sure you pee before you turn it on. Lol.
Question:	What is the height
Answer:	It is just about 35 inches from the very bottom to the top edge of the bowl. I wish it was quite a bit bigger! It's also way too noisy to be indoors which was a huge disappointment. It is very pretty!

Answer:	Don't think metal and rubber parts will hold up well to the salt water, Boat motors have special procedures to work in salt water, and cost a heck of a lot more money, my thought no don't think so

Answer:	The pump that came with mine is Jebao 388. I believe its 105 gph, around 23 watts.
