However I will let you know that I didn't get any hummingbirds with this mixture but after making my own I had quite a few everyday. 1 cup sugar to 4 cups water, bring to boil for 2 minutes and then let cool. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. I just adjusted the quantities and made enough for 2 feeders.

Answer:	A 32-oz bottle makes approximately 128 oz. when mixed 3:1 according to label directions. I usually "eyeball" it rather than measure, hence the approximate number. Oops, this answer applies to the liquid nectar. The jar of powdered nectar is 12 oz. According to label, use 7 cups (56 oz.) of water to the entire jar of powder. I have never measured how many the actual number of ounces it produces.
Question:	How often do you need to change the food
Answer:	For me, it depends on the time on the time of year you are feeding. When the weather is above 75 degrees, I usually let the food stay out only a day or so. I don’t fill the feeder very full so as not to waste food. When it is cooler, I let the food stay out 3-4 days. I always clean the feeder with soap and water before refilling. My hummers have been very healthy. I see the same ones every day. Good luck feeding your hummers. They are quite entertaining!

When the hummers are heavy in our area, 2 cups in our hummingbird feeder will last about 3 or 4 days.
Question:	Sucrose is a fancy name for sugar, will less than 0.01% of protein what's the difference between that and supermarket sugar
Answer:	The difference is price and sometimes added colorings or preservatives. Please people stop wasting your hard earned dollars on any pre made sugar water (nectar). So simple and easy, time is not an excuse. Simply put your water in a pot or kettle bring to boil and pour it into mason jar or other vessel with your measured granulated white sugar and wait until it cools. Refrigerate remaining nectar for up to a week. In a pinch and don't have any pre made in the fridge just dissolve regular sugar in warm water then add cold water to cool it. Simple and easy for all.

Answer:	Wow, that's a lot of birds. I use 96 lbs of sugar in a month (peak season, before migration). I've seen one of those Perky Pet 96 ouncers, but can't find one to buy. I'd love that big one!!!

Answer:	I have been feeding hummingbirds for over 15 years. I have never boiled water. I have 15 feeders and go thru about 1.5 gallons of sugar water per day. All year round. For this size feeder add 1.5 cups sugar to 6 cups water. Stir well.

Answer:	Sorry this is so late, since you asked clear back in February. In some of the one-star reviews, I've seen comments from Perky-Pet. They advise calling them: "do not hesitate to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973)." They might be able to help you get parts, or replace them if you were under the one-year warrantee.
Question:	They all leak and have to be sealed with krazy glue. The connecting attachment at the base also breaks. I have had four of them
Answer:	The Perky Pet 220 has leaks at the holes where the Humming Birds feed and need to be sealed. But that isn't the biggest problem with the 220. The plastics don't fit the theholders after they have been hanging for a while. I think I probable bought 9 of them from perky pet. I didn't bother to return about four of them because of this reason, I have them. That's not the worst of it I ordered about nine of the newest ones because they were glass and were always made of good quality instead the Holder falls from the glass as the plastic mold was not fitted correctly. That is why they are on sale. They never used to have this problem and now Perky Pet is trying to unload the inventory. The old glass feeders were great these are useless. I've been buying humming bird feeders from them for fifteen to twenty years. I would tell anyone to find another supplier. They don't care. Answer:	The nectar does have a preservative in it to help keep it fresh. Depending on how many birds you have coming to the feeders refrigeration after opening keeps it fresh for months, even over the winter if in higher latitudes. I'm in St. Louis and my feeders are in full sun so I only put enough in the feeders to last 10 - 14 days then clean rinse and refill. It was amazing how much more the birds liked the Kaytee clear nectar. I'll never use anything else. BTW if the nectar gets too old they will just stop feeding.

Answer:	I put mine in the fridge after opening. I fill my feeder as full as it will take & the birds feed until it's empty. It lasts just over a week & my hummers LOVE this stuff!!! I'm going to order a larger feeder to see if they demolish the additional food or if I'll have to cut back on how much I fill. I've got a feeling that I won't have to cut back!
