Answer:	we use a suet feeder with 4 wire "boxes" attached to a piece of strong wood. it is hung from a tree branch with an 18 inch baffle above it to keep our friendly squirrels from attacking the suet. we feed all year round and use this particular suet 12 months a year. it is non--melting and our birds, including woodpeckers love it! highly recommend!

One time, the last time, Fat Happy Pets, fulfilled the shipment and shipped one package of 2.5oz. They claim the picture shows one 2.5oz package and the catalog is wrong with someone typing in 10oz incorrectly. One 2.5oz package is B002UIX3CM not B01MAYHEZZ. Answer:	My bag says papaya. I looked up pawpaw and it said that pawpaw is what it is called in Australia and some partsof the Caribbean. I could not figure out if there was a taste difference or just a name difference. Sometimes it seemed to be used interchangeably. One place it says "dried diced papaya 2lb bulk bag dehydrated pawpaw tree; papaya cubes for snacking. That does not make much sense to me. But the bag I had said papaya. Answer:	Aside from suet, there are a number of different ingredients, including bits of seed, insect parts, and a number of other ingredients depending upon which version you buy. All I know is that every type of bird that visits my feeders absolutely loves it, once they try it. I have a hard time keeping up.

Answer:	These are semi hard 'cakes' or blocks measuring 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 1 1/4 inches. If you tried to roll them they would just break into greasy crumbles.

Answer:	This is a valid question. Cold weather feeding requires protein approximately 4-13%, as well as fat, suet is designed to offer high energy nutrition, especially valuable in cold weather. The higher the protein content, the better. I have yet to see a vendor listing the protein analysis. How much protein is in this product?

Answer:	My cakes never lasted that long, what with blue jays and blackbirds, but now that the blackbirds are gone mold has appeared on one side of the cake. I'm unsure of the timeline, but it is a problem I never had with a different brand of suet cakes. I may go back to the other, even though they are significantly more expensive. But perhaps the colder weather will solve the problem for me.

Answer:	The suet blocks that come prepackaged are somewhat soft and probably could be reshaped. It would be messy but doable. I use a simple wire basket that I purchased and they fit into it nicely. The birds hang on it and peck away.

Answer:	There were 12 cakes in the box. Please note, that as per my review, even though the price was right, the birds did not like this product. It sat for days and not eaten. I think there are better choices on the market.

Answer:	I haven't seen an expiry date on them. However, I threw out 3 bars (another brand mark you) because the birds weren't touching it. When I smelled it, both my wife and I thought it was off. Now, these are a few years old as they were sitting in my garage.

Answer:	There's a description of which seeds & grains are in it in the ingredients for the product. I notice some are saying it melts. I have used this for about a year now, in Orange County, Southern CA & we got into triple digits several times this summer and it never 'melted'. Mine usually last anywhere from a day or two to 4 days. The hotter weather kind of slows them down. I was thinking they were going so fast due to the squirrels, but found it was the wrens, junkos, woodpeckers, orioles & others in their seasons here that love it & the squirrels weren't able to reach it. Good product - not sure why others were saying it melted, perhaps they should contact the manufacturer?

Answer:	This is the same bag you'd buy in retail. It will fill one standard metal tube (11" x 2 1/2") with a little bit left over. This product is carried at Meijer seasonally and is often on sale for under $3. Problem is that it's seasonal in the retail setting. Honestly, though, spending $5-6 per bag for 27 oz is way out of line for what you get. I'd seriously look at alternatives that were more cost effective than this deal.

Answer:	I am not sure where you live North East ? Tropical island ?. Depending on where you store the unopened packages (you have unopened packages ????) it is not generally necessary to keep them refrigerated

Answer:	I bought this thinking it was something I previously purchased. The birds did not eat at first and it seems to be a bit firmer but, I had to use 1/2 and 1/2 of two different cakes. It does attract a different type of bird though. I don't have the little finches eating this as much because I think it is not as sweet as the other. My suggestion would be to use 1/2 and 1/2 of a different cake in the same feeder. They will start to eat it too! Good luck!!

Answer:	Absolutely, both morning doves and white winged doves. They learn to stand on top of the woodpecker feeder bend over the side. Always gone in about 24 hours. Gila woodies and all the little birds love it and easy to feed to their young because it sticks to beaks. OK in 115 degree heat in Phoenix.

Answer:	The bag does not specifically state they are organic or GMO free. But the ingredients read one thing, striped sunflower seed. No "other ingredients". My Cardinals say they are great. One would believe they are organic. I don't have any idea why they would need GMO added to them. You can call them at 800 Kaytee 1 or email [email protected] and ask them.
