Answer:	We used a wire coat hanger. There is a loop on the end of the birdfeeder to hook onto. I think perky pet makes a scroll that you can use as well. It probably looks alot better hanging from the scroll.

Answer:	Absolutely. They're determined. It took birds about 8 months to find the feeder and less than a month after that, the squirrel invasion. I almost did a spit take the first morning I found a squirrel folded up and chowing down in the feeder. Hazard of loving birds. I posted a video for your enjoyment. I don't hate squirrels, I just thought they would knock down the feeder with their weight, which hasn't happened yet.
