Question:	Can water drain away from the seeds? Any problems with mold
Answer:	There are 3 tiny holes. Sometimes a very small seeds get into it but even then water drains anyway. No mold so far. I use for several months and love it. Birds love it too. It's super easy to clean.

Answer:	There are some very small holes in the bottom. This feeder is very easy to clean. I use it for only freeze-dried mealworms. My birds love it - bluebirds, cardinals, finches, chickadees and even a woodpecker now and then. I do get starlings and I chase them off when they start fighting off other birds trying to get a bite.
Question:	Would this feeder be appropriate for feeding mealworms to bluebirds
Answer:	Yes it definitely would. I put mealworms in mine at first and they were eaten by other birds - I didn’t catch the bluebirds’ attention soon enough before the live bug population exploded
Question:	Does the roof keep the seed dry or does alot of seed get wasted when it rains or snows
Answer:	If the rain comes perfectly straight, it might stay sorta dry. But it's pretty open to the weather. Easy to clean, though. I just put the minimum seed in if the weather might be wet.

Answer:	I personally would not think plants would work. Too heavy for sure. I have one bird feeder that is double deck and quite heavy and without putting something like a large rock on the side the weight is going it would fall over in the wind.

Answer:	With the roof over the seed tray, the bird feeder keeps the seed dry through most weather. However, if the weather turns windy and the seed does get wet, the seed tray has holes in it to allow any water to drain through and the seed to dry out.

Answer:	Dear TriangleFamily, The exact thickness of all the materials we used to make it is 0.1" ( one tenth of an inch ). This window bird feeder has a very strong structure with this thickness, although during the design process, we initially tested the 0.2" and 0.15" thickness but the subsequent extra weight created, was a drawback and definitely 0.1" is the best pick. Question:	So if I need to change the water I have to remove the seeds first
Answer:	No, you remove the whole tray, which has three compartments. You can leave the seeds in the two side compartments and add water to the middle one. If you need to pour some water out, you could probably tip it gently without spilling the seeds. This is how it's supposed to work. HOWEVER, my water compartment leaks and doesn't hold water for any amount of time.
Question:	The rubber perch fell out. Will birds still be able to perch
Answer:	I think as long as they can grab the plastic, they should be able too.

Question:	Can the Orioles reach the nectar in the bowl if the level gets low or does it always have to be kept full for them to reach it
Answer:	While the Orioles went for the nectar in my hummingbird feeders, they never went for the nectar in this feeder! I took my feeder down because in order to put half an orange on the feeder, which was several times a day, the post had to be unscrewed and then screwed back in again, all while trying to keep the sugary nectar from spilling out of the bowl during the process.

Question:	Does this feeder prevent doves from using it
Answer:	Doves are able to eat at this feeder. I only see them on the feeder occasionally as they more often gather from the ground. There is an attachment you can buy to prevent doves from using this feeder but I have not needed to buy it.

Answer:	No drainage holes. I have had this feeder hanging over the winter and through rain and wind. I have not seen any water collect in the bin nor on the feeding tray.

Answer:	I have bought many of these and it cannot be mounted on a pole but I had a pole and at the top had a carpenter put two 2x4's creating 4 locations to hang 4 different feeders from the end of each 2x4. It makes a wonderful feeding and viewing area.

Answer:	Wow! That is one skinny pole. The baffle sits completely loose on a rocker unit ... it is the rocker unit that attaches to the pole with a two-bolt clamp. The baffle fits easily over a 3/4" pole ... which slides nicely into my 1" pole bird feeder. It will work perfectly on your 1/2" pole. The whole idea is to not give the squirrel a steady platform.
