Answer:	the peanuts would have to be rather small, this is really a feeder for black oil sunflower seeds. Have had squirrels open it from the top, have made to wire to prevent this. My grey squirrels are quite the acrobats when the want the sunflower seeds!

Answer:	No it would not work for unshelled sunflower seeds. Shelled ones would work but they are quite a bit more expensive. I use mine for peanuts and the birds love it.

Answer:	The black cap pulls off. You then fill the feeder with sunflower seeds. The container should be skinny and flexible; for example, a plastic cup you can squeeze as the opening to fill is not too big. I used a regular cup first time and lost a lot of seeds while filling. Also, FYI just the top part of the snowman (face) lights up from solar. The middle and bottom do not.

Question:	Does the tray have holes in it so if water does get in it drips out? I'm concerned about the tray collecting water and moldy seeds
Answer:	This is probably the best feeder I have for keeping seeds from getting moldy. I use it for golden safflower and it dries out quickly if it gets wet or snowed on. The tray does have plenty of holes but is shallow so sometimes there is a small amount of build up of wet seed to wipe off but very easy to do.
Question:	I have a problem with morning doves eating the safflower seed that I put out for cardinals. Does anyone know if doves can sit on this feeder
Answer:	Carefully wire the mesh up so that the sitting area is shorter. I did this , little by little, until I got to the height that the morning dives could NOT get on the feeder. Cardinals and smaller birds can still easily feed. Also use safflower seed which eliminates alot of unwanted birds!

Answer:	Or.....you can put a squirrel feeder for ears of corn nearby so the squirrels have some place to feed.

Answer:	No. I only use it for black oil sunflower seed. If you use mixed bird seed then the seed will all fall out from the large holes.Several times the squirrels will climb onto the top and tilt it but the sunflower seed will not fall out. Also, it really is squirrel-proof cause the squirrels can only get one seed at a time since the top locks.I love this feeder - it is the best for all birds!

Question:	I’ve had this for 3 years and the birds and i love it. after recent rains a 1” layer of seeds is stuck in the bottom. how can i get it out
Answer:	Yes, the short curly blonde hair wigs can continue to buy soon.
Question:	Is the cover supposed to fit securely on the top of the feeder? Mine is loose, even with the thing down that is supposed to hold it in place
Answer:	I've washed mine. It looks fine. Just use proper synthetic wig shampoo and conditioner, pat it dry, and scrunch the curls after gently combing it with a synthetic wig comb. You don't want to force the curls out. Finally, use a wig stand to let it fully air dry. It's alway a good idea to use conditioning spray in between washes to maintain the synthetic hair's luster.
Question:	What seed works best with this feeder
Answer:	I don't K ow. Maybe they felt this was the color people would prefer.
Question:	Which types of bird feed are people using? My birds seem to have trouble getting out the types talked about here so far
Answer:	The warning is because most cheaper wigs can be a bit more obvious on/to urban black women >inner community<. They know that we are considerate of this. It's not as natural for one to assume a black woman has healthy hair enough for "beach wavy short wig" look, naturally(for example). *We do, it's just that people are more OPT to a preconceived judgement). Which is fine. Black women (not all) are VERY sensitive to how natural a wigs looks on the head(not strigy, thin or too shiny i.e. plastic looking). I'm not aware of any other group of women who ask "Is this wig cool for my race/ deep skin color?" But I could be wrong. So yes, girl go and wear this! The description is to make us comfortable. Not to exclude anyone else at all. Even though I understand your question.

Answer:	Yes
Question:	Will it work for sunflower seeds
Answer:	Our mix is Sam's brand, a (40 pound bag), mostly sunflower seeds, even has broken peanuts and some fruit in the mix so sunflower seeds are no problem in ours. This feeder don't have to be removed from it's hanging place, just push the button to raise the roof and pour the seeds in. Ours is 1.5 years old and in Fla and is still fine.
Question:	Doesn’t thetray get wet when it rains
Answer:	The tray doesn't get wet when it rains. I have lots of birds when it rains. I like this feeder better than any other one I have had.
Question:	Does it have a hook to hang it by or do I have to purchase additional item
Answer:	There is a closed loop so a hook is not needed, but it really depends on where you are hanging it. The tree branch my feeder is on is very thick, so I use a hook. Question:	Does the tray have holes in it so if water does get in it drips out? I'm concerned about the tray collecting water and moldy seeds
Answer:	This is probably the best feeder I have for keeping seeds from getting moldy. I use it for golden safflower and it dries out quickly if it gets wet or snowed on. The tray does have plenty of holes but is shallow so sometimes there is a small amount of build up of wet seed to wipe off but very easy to do.
Question:	I have a problem with morning doves eating the safflower seed that I put out for cardinals. Does anyone know if doves can sit on this feeder
Answer:	Carefully wire the mesh up so that the sitting area is shorter. I did this , little by little, until I got to the height that the morning dives could NOT get on the feeder. Cardinals and smaller birds can still easily feed. Also use safflower seed which eliminates alot of unwanted birds!
Question:	Is this supposed to be squirrel proof
Answer:	Or.....you can put a squirrel feeder for ears of corn nearby so the squirrels have some place to feed.
Question:	Does this feeder work with mixed bird seed? Or only with black oil sunflower seed
Answer:	No. I only use it for black oil sunflower seed. If you use mixed bird seed then the seed will all fall out from the large holes.Several times the squirrels will climb onto the top and tilt it but the sunflower seed will not fall out. Also, it really is squirrel-proof cause the squirrels can only get one seed at a time since the top locks.I love this feeder - it is the best for all birds!
