Question:	A bizarre question about your otherwise great feeder: numerous cockroaches feed in it at night; some end up getting into my house. Got a solution
Answer:	I wish I did but fortunately, we have not had that problem. Could it be how high the window is or the window you chose that gives them easy access?
Question:	Will the suction cups stay on winter during cold winter, rainy days
Answer:	This is my third window feeder. I have 2 house type feeders and this type both with suction cups. The house type feeder stayed on through the winter. I’ve only had this one for a few months but I’m assuming it will stay attached through the winter as well. I learned the trick to keeping suction cups working well is to moisten with olive oil before sticking them to your window. After applying the olive oil, DRY WELL or the suction cup will slide, however once in place it won’t move you have to pry them off!!!
Question:	I need to replace the suction cups (two no longer suction properly). Where can I get the right size
Answer:	They are quite standard. I haven’t replaced any on this one but have on several other window feeders. A 2 inch size should work.
Question:	How much bird seed does it hold Thanks
Answer:	About 1 1/2 cups. I use a birdseed that is a mix of small kernels (millet) and larger seeds (sunflower). If you use all sunflower seeds it would probably hold 1 cup.

Answer:	Absolutely. They're determined. It took birds about 8 months to find the feeder and less than a month after that, the squirrel invasion. I almost did a spit take the first morning I found a squirrel folded up and chowing down in the feeder. Hazard of loving birds. I posted a video for your enjoyment. I don't hate squirrels, I just thought they would knock down the feeder with their weight, which hasn't happened yet.

Answer:	Hi Sam! There are fewer sources of food available during the winter months, so yes, your local birds will be very excited to see this feeder on your window. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Question:	Anyone have problems with "bully birds" (starlings, blackbirds, grackles, etc.) getting into this feeder
Answer:	typically we see the smaller birds...the only larger bird we have seen in the feeder is a cardinal and we don't mind them :)
Question:	Is this feeder large enough for blue jays and woodpeckers
Answer:	It definitely appears to be large enough for both blue jays and woodpeckers, although I haven't seen any at the feeder yet.
Question:	What purpose does the hole in the back serve? If the suction cups are pressed against the glass, you cannot access that hole. Period
Answer:	The purpose that I can see is a clearer view of the birds in the feeder. The suction cups and plastic distort the view some.

Answer:	No
Question:	What do I need to hang these tray please show the picture so I can buy both at the same time thanks
Answer:	Your feeder should come with two hanging cables already attached that you use to hang the feeder. If your feeder doesn’t have these hanging cables, I would suggest a return to Amazon/vendor.
Question:	Is there a way to mount it to a stand versus hanging it
Answer:	you could, but it would be lot's of work. you'd need to drill holes in one side and run screws through the feeder into your stand......;o( I think you'd be better off finding a different feeder.
Question:	is the screen fine enough for millet to stay on the top
Answer:	I'm not sure. I use Wild Birds Unlimited No Mess Plus Seed. It includes some very small seeds and some of them fall through the holes. I don't use millet so I don't know how the size compaes.

Question:	Can Squirrels get sunflower seeds out of this feeder
Answer:	Sadly yes. They hang on the feeder and feast. We have two feeders, one for the birds and the other used by squirrels when they are present. We trap and relocate the squirrels when they become a nuisance.
Question:	How much seed does it hold
Answer:	I don't know exact amount, but it turned out to be larger than I expected and holds about a third more than the other one we bought. We bought this as a second feeder because the other one we had (That looks very similar to this one) couldn't accommodate all the finches. This one turned out to be larger, and it seems that even with having two feeders, the finches all wanted to feed together on one. Since this one was larger, we just took the other one down. Also, this one is sooo much easier to fill. The latch is spring loaded, so all you do is turn this little tab latch, and it pops right open. Super easy, it feeds more finches, and very good quality. No question, this is the best finch feeder.

Answer:	It disassembles very easy for cleaning
Question:	Manufacturer said this is for nyger seed. The screen appears coarse to me & when i try to fill w/nyger it pours out the screen. Please explain

Question:	Does it only accommodate thistle seed
Answer:	The metal mesh construction is made for thistle seed. I don’t think the mesh would allow other seed to get through
Question:	does anyone have issues with nyjer seed getting wet at bottom and getting moldy/snotty? I'm wondering if the deer licking the bottom rots the seed
Answer:	My feeders are above the heads of deer. Still, feeders probably should be cleaned of wet residual.

Answer:	I honestly don't know, since I am in California and haven't seen chickadees in my garden. The finches are very happy with this feeder and so am I. It is easy to refill, which is important to me, and would also be easy to clean, should I need to clean it.
Question:	Can you verify the volume please? For the height and diameter given it appears the capacity is 232 cubic inches, which would be 4 quarts
Answer:	The tube that holds the seed has a 2.5 inch diameter and is 6.5 inches tall, for a total capacity of about 32 cu in. The dimensions given at Amazon appear to include the size of the tray, top, and hanging ring. The claim that the feeders hold up to 5 pounds of seed is inaccurate.....Our goldfinches, house finches, and other birds love these feeders, and discovered them the first day we put them out. We hung both feeders and have to refill them about once a week. The mesh sides allow many birds to eat at one time. The only downside is that the pure thistle we use will go through the mesh as we fill the feeder, but we either place a card stock sleeve around the tube while filling, or just hold the feeder over the seed bin.
