Answer:	Doubtful most vinyl fences have a textured surface, if your has a completely smooth surface then they should work fine

Answer:	These suction cups are the trickiest part. Best is to clean window, then clean window with rubbing alcohol then run a little warm water on scurion cups and shake off. You need to be able to push the suction cup against the window and push all the air under. I ordered to do that you need to detach the suction cups from the feeder, lined up correctly, push the cup against the window without the feeder attached. Come back, wiggle the cup and if secure slide the feeder back on. This is not easy and if you I’ve the cup during this the cup is not well seated and it would have fallen anyway. If you try to attach the cup with the feeder attach I was not able to push the cup hard enough to get the air out and it all fell several times. It’s a tight fit sliding the frame onto the cup.
Question:	What are the instructions for creating the food for inside of this feeder? I purchased one but lost the instructions
Answer:	I use 1 cup of filtered water to 1/4 c granulated (white) sugar. Heat to a boil, to make sure that sugar is dissolved completely. Removed from heat; let cool. Fill hummingbird feeder. Make sure the change food every 3-5 days depending on how hot it is outside. You don't want to food to get moldy or rancid. When changing food, just rinse out the feeder with hot water (if needed), do not use soap. Soap can leave residue in the feeder.

Answer:	I have 3 of the models offered here: 2 Ruby, 1 Diamond & 1 Orion/Twist; I've never experienced any "bee" or "ant" issues. I take down my feeders every 3 days in warm weather, dump the remaining homemade nectar (the only nectar I use and without any food coloring) and thoroughly wash all parts, inspect for mold and air dry. Warm weather I do this every 3 or 4 days. Once with another hummingbird feeder I had ant issues but it had a holder that was staked into a flower pot...never used it again.

Answer:	No, never roaches. I live in an apartment and have never had any issues with feeders and roaches in the 8 years I've had them. I did have ants get into a feeder once (not this feeder) and was able to fix it by putting Vaseline on the hanger. Hope that helps!

Answer:	you can also hang the feeder with a bit of fishing wire and the ants can't walk on the line. i did that with one of mine and no issues.

Answer:	Purchased in 2015 and no leaks. However, I don't fill it more than halfway because we have only about 3 hummingbirds. They take a while to empty it and I want to clean the feeder each time I refill.

Answer:	One part sugar (1 full cup) to four parts water (4 cups). DO NOT ADD COLORING. The red coloring may be toxic and certainly does not attract the birds. Once the birds start using this feeder others will see them and will join in. With two feeders, I need to refill them with two quarts of clear nectar each a day...year round here in San Diego. I'm using feeders I bought in 2014, so they last a long time in the shade. Try different places until you find one the birds feel safe at. Bees cannot reach the nectar in this feeder, and the feeder is easy to clean, which I do with a bottle brush and hot water every day. Enjoy!

Answer:	Don’t use chemicals. Out a little Vegetable Oil the chain with vegetable oil. Ants and other critters don’t do well in oil. Be sure to wash and replenish food and oil every few days.

Answer:	The dia of the round bottom is 7 in. The width of the top square red cap is 3.5 x 3.5 in. The height from red round bottom to top of red cap is 9 inches, but if you add the black hook at the top, it adds another 2 inches to the height for a total of 11 inches. Question:	Is there any metal on the base? My previous one rusted
Answer:	No. It's all a hard plastic. I've had one for nearly 5 years and have had no problems with it except for the "leaves" on the "flowers" broke off. That doesn't affect the birds feeding from it though so not a big deal. I own 3 of these and love how easy they are to clean and refill.

Answer:	Yes, the bottom (where nectar is dispensed) come completely apart for cleaning. Top plastic part is to attract birds and hang the feeder, but it is also removable. Very nice feeder.
Question:	How does the ant moat work? it fills w/nectar when i flip it over. does it use h2o somehow
Answer:	Screw the moat onto the bottom (unopened) part of the jar. Set the feeder on your counter with the moat end down and open end up. Fill the feeder, screw on the perch end/feeding station of the feeder. Turn the feeder over (I usually do over the sink) . You will see the station fill part way with the nectar. Your moat should now be at the top with its hanger. Add a bit of water to the moat before hanging (or after, if easier). The water keeps the ants from climbing down the feeder to get to the feeding station. Over filling the moat will just result in the water running down the sides of the feeder. Just check it and refill as needed. Hope this clears it up for you.
Question:	Is there supposed to be a gasket in between groove where the two bottom pieces fit together? Cant get nectar level near the flower
Answer:	There is no gasket. It is designed so that the nectar level stays below the openings in the “flowers”. If it leaks at the seam of the red and clear plastic, it is not assembled firmly enough or may have hairline cracks.

Answer:	I had the same problem with my first one when hot water was used to clean it. I solved the problem by reattaching it with the use of aquarium silicone cement. This fix is a permanent one and will not come apart but it did fix the problem.
Question:	Where can you get replacement yellow flowers
Answer:	Go to First Nature's web site, that would be the only place I know of that might have them. I even found that with out flowers the birds will still use the feeder.
