Question:	Could i use this as a small hummingbird feeder
Answer:	I don't think it would work because hummers expect to feed through a small opening and prefer a perch. There are companies that sell small feeders.
Question:	What keeps ants from crawling around the feeders away from the water
Answer:	The ants can only come from above on the hanger. With water in the reservoir, they can not get to the feeder. These have worked very well for me, just have to check the reservoir every few days as the water will evaporate, especially if in the sun.
Question:	If the hooks are too small to fit on a shepherd's crook, can I replace them with larger hooks from the hardware store
Answer:	I hang them attached to an large hanging s hook that will go over much larger tree branches I bought these from amazon and also use to hang bird seed feeders in the trees.

Answer:	Length from top of hook to top of hook is 7 inches. Height of ant mote is about 2 3/4 inches.

Answer:	Yes. Mine didn't come with instructions either. The side with the nut has to go on top because the other one has to go through the rubber hole. The nut (connection point) will sit in the glass, submerged in water. This was the only way that there would be appropriate amount of hook length on both top and bottom to hang.

Answer:	I have seen people hold them and the hummers would come and drink from them. Mine came with a suction cup too which I guess you could put on a window but that is not at all safe for the birds, feeders should be at least 5 feet from a window. It is recommended to fill moats only 3/4 full, I filled it full and the larger ants seem to be able to walk over it. I love this moat and it looks beautiful in the sun.

Answer:	I have used it with several large glass feeders. It works fantastic. I had a big ant problem before, and no ants for two seasons with the ant guard.

Answer:	The length between hooks would be approximately 2.75". The entire piece, including hooks, would be around 4.5".

Answer:	There is a small solid disc that must contain the poison/repellent. It is not accessible to birds or animals. It does not kill the ants but they will not cross it and are discouraged from trying to reach the feeder. Some of mine have lasted several years. The hooks have broken after the years of constant exposure and my husband has attached a metal hook and they still work.

I've also been told you can make your nectar a little LESS sweet. Please, please do NOT use that RED nectar junk you see in stores. Make your own...1 part sugar to 4 parts water. Example: 1 cup of sugar to 4 cups of hot water; stir well until all sugar is dissolved and allow to cool prior to putting it into feeder. Lotsa luck with the bees.
