Answer:	Funny thing is... I was wondering that myself. We should probably go directly to the vendor and ask if they can do that. I guess yours broke before its time too. If you find out, please let me know and I will do the same. In the meantime my husband tried using silicone to seal the basin cracks. I don't know if it worked yet since it is still drying and I haven't tried to refill it yet, but you might want to try that too.

Answer:	Filling the base is optional but it takes less than a gallon of sand. I used some old pea gravel I had laying around and it has withstood 60 mph gusts.

Answer:	Interesting range of guesses but by placing a level across the with of the bowl, and a metal measuring tape against the bottom of the level with the end of the tape touching the bottom of the bird bath it is 2-7/8 inches deep! So the 3 inch statement is the correct one. I filled the center of mine with playground sand do give it more heft and stability. Looks nice, seems like it should last awhile.

Question:	Would this be able to be attached to a round metal railing
Answer:	It says it can fit railings up to 2.5 inches so I would think as long as the railing width does not exceed that. My railing is rounded on the top and when I measured I thought it would make it but it really needs to be flat. Just because it is tilted does not stop the birds from it at all and I can see them good!

Answer:	Yes, I have a floating solar fountain floating in mine. It works good as long as the water level is maintained and kept clean. Keep cleaning the pump intake of debris since the water volume is so small that it sucks in the debris as it circulates the water.

Answer:	I have birds in mine quite often. I think they would avoid it if the water is too deep. If you get the pump they can stand on the pump. My pump quit working so I put small rocks in it to give them something to stand on.
