Question:	I would like to purchase this but need to ensure that it comes with instructions. Can you confirm
Answer:	Yes it came with instructions. But basically try to hang on a house, tree or post, at least 12 feet off the ground, away from branches that predators could use. Away from bright lights and noise. Water like a pond or bird bath ideal nearby. Should get at least a few hours of sunlight, South or east facing ideal. They will defecate so keep that in mind... Answer:	Thank you for your question. The bat house has grooves in the wood that allow for easy access and longevity as webbing can tear over time and injure bats if they get stuck.
Question:	Is it too late in the season (Late June) to think the bats will move from the chimney to the bat house

Answer:	Hi there! Yes, I can confirm that all bat houses that are less than 2 feet high tend to be more effective when installed on the side of your house or building. One of the most important factors in a successful bat house occupancy is the internal roosting temperature of the bat house. And your building/house would act like a heat sink which would help regulate the internal temperate of the bat house. Hope that helps. Question:	How many bats will it hold
Answer:	I have not installed this yet, but for what I have read about bat houses this can hold over 200 bats. I know, it seems crazy like a lot...we’ll see.
Question:	We live in Florida. Do you recommend the black or brown for our climate
Answer:	Hi there! Rebecca here from customer service :) The brown color bat house is more suitable for the Florida region climate (based on the Bat Conservation International's recommendation). The black bat house would retain more heat than the bats in your area would be comfortable with. Hope that helps!

Question:	I've read that the cedar needs to be aired out because bats do not like woods with strong scents. Has this already been aired out
Answer:	I purchased this item but had to return as the light wouldn't mount up to the flagpole I was using, Sorry I couldn't be of more help:(
Question:	There any time that’s better to put a house up to try n get bats or it just whenever cause will take a while anyways
Answer:	The light has a 1/2" hole thru the center, which the bolt from the ball goes thru. So it doesn't matter the diameter of the pole, just that you need to have a 1/2" threaded hole in the top of the pole.
Question:	Will this box need to be painted or treated in any way to prevent rot
Answer:	Very bright white
Question:	If wasps move in, what is the best way to remove them? I assume that the canned spray would not be good for bats even after a period of time
Answer:	It seams to work well with any flag pole that has a 1/4" threaded ball or eagle on the top.

Question:	What is the range of the bats ( i.e. how far around the bathouse will they eat bugs
Answer:	When I opened the box containing the bat shelter, I was worried that it wasn't really made of cedar...that's how little of the scent remained. Even if you do smell cedar, it'll take some time for the bats to find the shelter...by then, any scent that did exist will have disappeared. Hope that helps.
Question:	What do the colors do
Answer:	I installed my bat house over a year ago and still no bats have taken up residence. But sometimes it takes along time. We have bats flying around at night so they do live in the area. A wildlife site suggests the following: Place the house in full sun, preferably on its own pole; the next-best location is on the southern side of a building in full sun. The optimal temperature range is between 85 and 104 degrees F. Don't put it on a tree, as it will be in too much shade and too close to perch sites used by hawks and owls. Keep the area around the entrance clear of obstructions for 20 feet. If you live west of the Cascades, bat houses should be painted with multiple coats of flat black exterior latex paint and placed where they will receive full sun.
Question:	Currently have many bats roosting behind my dark green/black shutters. Should I order black? Map says order dark brown
Answer:	The bat house doesn't need to be painted. In fact it's recommended that you don't paint it. Our's still looks new after a year and a half.
Question:	How high up
Answer:	I have had great success with getting rid of wasp nests by getting up about dawn and using a very strong spray of water from a hose. It will destroy the nest and the wasps that drop straight down to the ground will be moving very slowly in cool morning air. Plenty of time to walk away.
