Answer:	It has to do with the propane cylinder, not the griddle. Happens to me quite a bit. There's an excessive flow regulator on new propane cylinders as a safety feature. If you turn the propane cylinder up high and then the burners on quickly you can hear a metallic click from the cylinder like a pin dropping. That's the regulator slowing the flow of propane. 1) Shut everything off. 2) open the cylinder a 1/4 open. 3) open and light the first burner. 4) turn the first burner to low. 5) repeat 3 and 4 for each burner. 6) gently turn burners one at a time to the desired setting. If you open things up too quickly the flow regulator kicks in. Open things up slowly.

Answer:	I ordered the 9" and that is what my product measures. It's possible that the vendor did not receive any reviews for the 12".

Answer:	No issues, with the plastic melting, used them on both the grill and flat top in a commercial setting. Only down side it you have to constantly tighten the screws on the handles. As they are not pre- assembled. I recommend getting locking washer to prevent this. And cleaning after each night as char builds up very easily. Other than that, good item for the cost.

Answer:	I like this better allows me to remove it and the brackets on the cover allows me to set it behind the griddle. Especially when you put the soft cover on the griddle. The other option has a handle on the middle of the hard cover. This one is on the side.
Question:	It would be great if you made a hinged version
Answer:	I have the 12" dome. Height is approx 4 inches (without handle included), the handle adds another 1 1/2 inches onto the height, plenty of room to grab the handle without fear of touching the dome and getting burned on the hot metal. We use it for melting cheese on burgers or steaming veggies for hibachi dinners on our Blackstone griddle. This dome is really well made. I highly recommend it. We are very happy with our purchase.
