Answer:	yes it's non stick. I use it all the time and there is no stick for me.
Question:	Will my steak taste like a steak on a grill or like a steak on a George Foreman grill which no offense is pretty gross and steam instead of grilling
Answer:	Definitely a good question. I had the same question and issue with the GF grill. I bought this HB Grill and it is great. Great searing and cooks like an outdoor regular grill. Marinate or season your steak however you like it and it will come out perfect. Of course, you won’t have the charcoal flavor if that is what you use for your outdoor grill, but the other flavor, texture and searing will be there. (I personally think it comes out juicier on this grill than the regular outdoor grills). I also found that this HB grill made it easier to get the cooking level you want; for steak; I.e. Medium, Medium Well, Well Done etc.
Question:	the removable grill plate has plug in attached. Is it ok to get that wet when cleaning
Answer:	Yes the booklet says it can be washed, the only thing you can't wash is the base it plugs into. However I don't put mine in the dishwasher and when I wash it I don't let it sit in water. Like my old George Foreman I find its easier to clean if I put wet paper towels on the grills surface while its still hot and shut the lid, this steams off a lot of the baked on marinade I use...

Answer:	I don’t think so. There is no compartment for it - and the area in the bottom is directly next to the element. That said. The more you use it the more it is seasoned and the better things taste

Answer:	The ease of cleaning the grill (the part that the food rests on) is possibly the best part about this grill. It's easy and the metal cleans nicely. The shortcomings of the grill are that the drip tray doesn't catch all the drippings so I have resorted to putting a pan under the grill but I still get grease splatter all over the tile floor of my balcony. Also, the temperature controller cycles on and off so cooking time is uneven and unpredictable and it never gets hot enough to sear anything. I'm waiting for it to die and then replace it. I have read some reviews that rate the Weber electric grill highly so hopefully that's a better choice.

Answer:	Hi Judy - Yes this does have a beeper. When the rice is done it beeps on and off for about 5-6 seconds and automatically switches to keep warm. Once you're done you can press the power button and it toggles off so no need to unplug.
Question:	Can I make cheese or chocolate fondue in the hot pot side
Answer:	You do not want the lid to be removable because that would require an extra (third) hand for operating the devise; and a clean and safe place to set down a removed lid. It is sufficient for the pot alone (and steamer tray) to be removable.
Question:	Can the grill and pot be separated from the base for cleaning
Answer:	I have the 8-cup one and the brown rice setting cooks quinoa perfectly! You have to soak it first (minimum 6 hours) but it comes out fully cooked, light and fluffy! I just purchased the larger 20-cup cooker (the 8-cup doesn't hold enough veggies for me) and am sure the brown rice setting on the larger cooker will make quinoa perfectly as well.

Answer:	We have one and it produces quite a bit of heat. My guess is Weber doesn't want the liability and it has never been approved for indoor use.

Answer:	I have lined the bottom removable liner with foil. That tends to make things messy. I agree with the idea to just wipe it clean, remove the pan and use soap and water. Also, after reading Weber's suggestions, they do not recommend lining either the drip pan or reflective liner with foil.
Question:	I am looking at the q2400 and q1400. they both have the same wattage. does the q1400 heat up quicker than the bigger one
Answer:	Q1400 has 8.25 watts per square inch. Q2400 has 5.5 watts per square inch. Math doesn't lie. 1400 is awesome and will get to and hold sear temperature. 2400 not so much. It is not a matter of which will heat up quicker, but the little guy will hold the heat thru the process. This is a case where smaller is better. Unless you have a large crew, the 1400 is the ticket.
