Answer:	When the unit is heating up it is too hot to touch, but that's completely understandable since it works so well. I heat it up, use it, then let it cool down before putting the top cover on before I put it away for storage. Again, this is the best kitchen appliance I have ever used!

Answer:	Using a candy thermometer, mine goes beyond 400 degrees Fahrenheit and when I cook with it, it cooks the outside just fine but the inside stays raw. I was also using breaded chicken that had sat out to room temperature.

Answer:	I fit a whole 6lb chicken in with no problem, sort of diagonal, breast side down for 1hr @350, then turned over for 15min. The wings only stuck up a little, & they were no problem to push down as I closed the basket. When done, the shrinkage took care of that issue when opening. Best chicken I ever ate. Much better than oven roasted. Crispy skin on the outside, & tender & juicy on the inside with no dried out sections or blood near the bone.

Answer:	Depends on what you are going to fry. If you are going to fry any type of sea food like fish or shrimp you should change the oil before you use the fryer next time. if you fry other items other than seafood you can leave the oil in the fryer. You should definitely use peanut oil instead of canola oil or any other cooking oil. Peanut oil fry's your food better and it does not leave your food greasy taste. You can reuse you oil 3-4 times before changing the oil and cleaning your fryer. I love my little fryer it works great. I hope this is helpful to you and happy frying. Answer:	The cooker does come with the basket that can be used for turkey, chicken, roasts, etc. The other accessories are for more specialty items (such as wings or ribs), which some people may not want to cook. Why increase the price to include all accessories, when many people don't even want them. The price of the cooker (when we bought it) was (in our opinion), very reasonable.

Answer:	The main difference is the design of the outer body and the inclusion of a meat thermometer with this new Big Easy.
Question:	Typically how long to cook a 10 - 16 lb turkey
Answer:	I cooked a 16 lb turkey for Thanksgiving and it was perfectly cooked in 2 1/2 hrs. I absolutely love this cooker. Tri-tip and ribs turned out great!
Question:	What happens if it starts to rain
Answer:	That's a legitimate question. There is no solid cover like a standard gas grill, only a mesh cover but that cannot be used the entire time due to potential burning and it won't prevent rain from hitting your food. If you don't have a covered porch or other safe place to put this outdoors during rain you probably can't use it. Hopefully it won't rain on Thanksgiving this year!
