Answer: I would think it should unless its just a jungle. Go at it in small patches. It has easily done everything I have asked it to do. I am quite satisfied.

Answer: That is accurate. Higher Amp hours the more capacity of the battery. With the 3 Ah you get one battery. With the 1.5 Ah you get two batteries. Should equal out to the same amount of run time. Only difference is the 3.0 Ah battery is physically larger and heavier than the 1.5. So if you have a bad shoulder or older you might opt for the two 1.5 batteries and just swap them when the first goes dead. If you're not having issues with the weight, go with the 3ah single battery.
Question: anyone have experience with the 3.0 vs the 1.5Ah batteries? does the 3.0 literally last twice as long? trying to figure out best deal
Answer: Yes, theoretically a battery with double the amp/hour capacity CAN last twice as long with a whole bucketload of IFS! IF the ‘Speed’ adjustment is EXACTLY the same; IF the thickness of the weeds/grass is exactly the same; IF the ‘duty cycle (on time vs off time) is exactly the same, etc, etc. From a practical standpoint suffice to say that battery life between charges WILL be noticeably longer BUT, when using the same charger, recharge time MAY also be noticeably longer. Im sure that, by now, you’ve noticed all the “IFS and “MAYS” in my short reply. This only goes to illustrate the very large number of variables involved in reliably estimating battery time between charges.

Answer: Also, the 1.5 amp weighs about half the other, so it is balanced. The 3.0 would make it top heavy.

Answer: The 163 comes with 2 batteries is 0.2 lbs lighter and has a command feed button on the handle that the 162 does not have. Couldn't find which one was created first. They each look to do the same function except for that command feed thing. I have the 162 and it does all I have needed it to do.

Answer: Hello velo781,Yes, you are correct. This trimmer is a bump and feed. Which means when the trimmer is running you would give it a light tap to release 1/4" of spool line.
Question: What brands of attachments will be compatible? Will Echo PAS attachments be compatible
Answer: I was caught on this, too. Amazon refuses to address the issue. Clicking on the attachment model on the same web page and you will have the model as described. Click on the combo w/blower and the model changes to #ST80L210 that is NOT attachment capable despite the fact you are still on the attachment capable model describe at the top of the web page. The first viewable responses from customers are NOT addressing the correct attachment capable model. Amazon has set consumers up a for fall. Had I click to see a few more responses to this question I would have picked up on this. I purchased the combo and did not order any attachments until AFTER the return deadline. Now I am stuck with model #ST80L210 that is not attachment capable. Greenworks played an unfair marketing ploy by adding in a different 80V model to increase their profits. My first mistake was trusting Amazon when ordering. My second mistake was assuming Amazon would recognize the error, correct it for future consumers, and make restitution with existing consumers. Hard lesson learned. Please don't be fooled!!!

Answer: Yes, it does work with both batteries. However, I would highly recommend to use 80V 2AH battery as it is less weight of the battery matters a lot based on my personal experience here - from smooth sailing perspective!
Question: I know it says it takes .080 line but since it is suppose to be a pro trimmer shouldn't it accept .095 line
Answer: Going on three years now I've only been using .095 line in the Greenworks trimmer after the original spool ran out with no problems, I just happened to have a few rolls of .095 left over from my old Stihl and didn't want to just throw it out.

Question: Can i use my Dewalt 20v batteries for my power tools on this
Answer: Yes. I used the 1.5 Ah batteries from my Dewalt drill. It ran about 8 minutes on HI and I was able to trim about 90 feet of driveway and sidewalk edging. I had to move fairly slowly because it is tough St. Augustine grass. After changing batteries I ran it on LO and took about 10 minutes to finish trimming and it was still running well. Not as powerful as my gas trimmer was but it is adequate for my needs.
Question: What does it weigh
Answer: Just weighed myself with and without the trimmer. It weighs 8.5 lbs.

Answer: I bought the Worx. It had no power at all and only lasted about 10 minutes at full power. This Dewalt 20v is very strong and last about a hour with normal use. We have a large orchard and I may switch to all battery powered now that the technology is getting so good.

Question: One person said the on button took a lot of effort to hold on. how much strength
Answer: I have arthritis in my large joint of my thumb, and after using this for about 30-45 minutes - my hand is screaming at me. The issue is that you have to squeeze two buttons simultaneously. The top isn't that bad, but the bottom button does take a bit of effort (for a 40+ yr old woman). Coupled with the weight of the motor, it is a noticeable difference from my prior small electric weed eater. It would stop me from buying it, but I think it should be a consideration in designing the next model.

Answer: My problem to is no power, not working. The safety switch does not "click" like it is supposed to when I depress it thus the power switch will not turn on the trimmer.
