This 40W unit attached to a pack is going to hang long and swing as he hunts. The charging efficiency will also depend on decent sunlight shining directly on as many of the panels to get the most usable output... in other words, the sun at his back. Folded-up (not deployed)... not easily attached to... it needs to be stowed in his pack.

Answer:	It without stepping down the 18v to 5v. You would need to step from the dc output to a module that converts the 18v 2.2A output to 5v. Amperage would theoretically max out just south of 8A, but would depend on the efficiency of the converter. You could then connect any usb device you would like.

Question:	Will this panel overcharge a battery or does it have a battery tender capability? would i need the 8-stage smart battery charger
Answer:	It doesn't have features of a smart battery charger does, such as protection against over-charging. 8-stage charging process etc. It just output 12~18V DC voltage for charging car battery during emergency. For long time charging of a car battery, we still recommend using AIMTOM 4A or 7.2A smart battery charger.
Question:	How weather resistant is this unit
Answer:	You don’t leave it outside. Simply collect sun for the solar panel and bring it in for protection. It’s portable.
Question:	What female, female connector can be used to connect the two supplied cables with the standard male jacks on the cable ends

Question:	Can I combine two of these panels to charge my Raptor 500 faster
Answer:	You can but only parallel two panels. NEVER connect two solar panels in series as it will double the output voltage. NEVER use higher than 24V DC to recharge Raptor 500 power station. When you parallel two panels, it will increase the total output power. But the voltage will remain the same as that of one panel.
