It's a monocrystilline 100w panel stated to output 5 amps, 12volts. I see consistent 13~14 volts at 4 amps, and have hit 5 amps on really good days (but 4A are more realistic). As a test item, I had it charging a 73AH Deep Cycle Gel battery from West Marine (the panel came with a 30A PWM charge controller). It worked fine and charged the battery in a matter of short hours ( I have both an amp meter and a volt meter connected to track its output). Previously, I was using two 45W amorphous panels (Harbor Freight) that took up to 4 days to do what this one panel can do in 4 hours. Buy with confidence. |

| Question: | How do i attach panel to a fabric bimini. i didn’t realize there are not any holes in edges of panel before i purchased |
| Answer: | Bought two panels after using cardboard cut-and-tapes to posted dimensions to check fit on bimini. Checked cable route and run length with rope. Received the panels/cables and laid them out on bimini for 2nd fit check, positioned and outlined with chalk. Removed the bimini and a friend sewed two-inch velco hook tape onto the bimini, just inside of the chalk lines while I glued the opposing two inch wide loop tape around the perimeter of the panel bottoms using Marine Goop adhesive and putty knife. Waited two days for the adhesive to cure and while waiting, mounted the 100/30 Blue Solar charge controller, connected that to the battery ACR (automatic charge relay charging both house and start batts) and then connected the pre-measured panel cables. Then put the bimini back up, dropped the panels on (covered them with a towel to reduce chance of shock) and plugged them in! Removed the towels and watched as my batter monitor showed amps flowing into my batts! Those panels are on there good, but can still be removed for whatever reason. Sewing job on bimini and adhesive on panels have not budged in winds up to 30 kts, so far. |

Using a multi meter in direct sunlight the panel produces around 1.3-1.6 amps, on a cloudy day 0.8-1 amp. If your parasitic draw (should be 50 milliamps or less) it will charge the batteries. |

If you need to keep the house batteries fully charged when the RV is not in use and assuming you have a battery cutoff switch, one twenty watt panel will be more than enough to keep both batteries topped off. With the battery cutoff switch turning the batteries off you should have zero drain on the batteries, however they may lose 1% to 2% of their charge each month sitting idle. One twenty watt panel charging several hours a day is more than enough to keep the batteries fully charged. Just don't expect this panel to charge a discharged or dead battery. It`s designed to top them off and keep them fully charged, like when an RV is sitting when unused for several weeks or months |

| Answer: | There is no Charge Cntroller. There are enough Cells in the Panel to reach 12.6 to 12.8 volts when not connected to a Battery. A full charged Battery will test at 12.6 volts. A partially depleted Battery, say it tested at 12.4 will be charged until the battery voltage reaches 12.6 to 12.8. This is better than having a Controller which could go bad or malfunction. With the Cells balanced to charge no more than 12.6 to 12.8 volts, its not possible for your Battery to overcharge. Also, the voltage the panel generates will not wale up your Vehicle's Modules which could be sensitive to voltages in excess of 12.8 volts. This is a good panel. On an overcast day with my tinted Windows it will still trickle charge my battery until fully topped off. |

| Answer: | They are flexible as shown. I user these on the top of a camper over a curved top. I have them attached at each end with a velcro strip. I believe they also came with six grommet holes as well. |

| Answer: | I don’t have gel batteries but as a retired electronics tech I don’t see a problem to hook it to them. 12 volts is 12 volts and the controller will control the amount of charge. I’ll probably get gel batteries when mine need replacing. |

| Answer: | Panels will not directly run appliances. Panels are used to charge battery(s), and the batteries run appliances etc. Panels are listed as producing 100 watts each but that is only under very ideal conditions. I use 4 panels on top of a camper to keep batteries charged. |
