Answer:	Did you measure the opening when in the locked position? In the maximum locked position, it is assumed there will be a full thread length in the handle screw adjustment section - if you adjust past having a full thread purchase the tool may fail. I think it would be dumb to use such a small tool on any material that wide. The answer is 1 1/8" in the locked position at the tip of the jaws - note the jaws would not be parallel and the lower point of the jaw spread would be smaller at about 7/8".

Answer:	You are correct. The image is wrong, It's of a PB20 box. It's just the photo that's incorrect. You'll get the 30amp box if you order this item. I did and I was happy when it came.
Question:	Can this be used without a transfer switch. i know you have to use one, but will it work without it
Answer:	This box is to connect your generator to the transfer switch, not to connect any sort of load (like your welder) to the generator or panel. As an aside, if your welder is 50A @ 220v then that's 11,000 watts and way over the rating of your generator.
Question:	The picture shows a 20 amp, ground lug pointing out. A 30 amp has the ground lug pointing in. Am I correct
Answer:	I didn’t realize until after I received it that the unit is intended eve installed indoors. I needed outdoors. I tried to communicate with the company to exchange it for the one I needed. The response was that they carry over 100000 items from hardware to healthcare products and unless I could provide them the ID number of the one I needed they would not know what to send me! Furthermore if I did do an exchange I would have to pay shipping both ways and it’s quite heavy. In the end the back and forth with them took so long that the 30 day return option ran out and I’m now stuck with it. I do not recommend this company under any circumstances. I’ve had it since last summer and am trying to find someone who can figure out a way to install it before Hurricane season.

Answer:	Yes you can but be aware that the outside unit will take 2 ganged breakers as well as 2 ganged breakers for the air handler leaving you with only 6 for other items. This is the way I have mine configured. This also assumes you have a generator capable of handling load. I have a 12,000 watt generator and a 2 1/2 tin heat pump ac.

Installing the Power Inlet Box

Mount the power inlet box on the outside of the building in a convenient location, using the three holes provided in the back of the cabinet.

Using copper wire only and approved wiringmethods, run the wiring through one of the knockouts in the cabinet to a junction box located near the transfer switch.

If using conduit, pul at least four colors. Max Wire Gauge:4AWG~8AWG. Strip the wire insulation 3/5"(15mm, turn back to see the picture of "FIG1") (do not tin conductors)

and connect the wires in the power inlet box as fllows. Making sure there is no wire insulation in any terminal and the inlet terminal screws are tightened to 35 inch-pounds torque using Electric Phillips screwdriver.



Cable Color Scheme:

Black/Red=Load (250 Volt),the terminals marked“X”and "Y”

White=W-Neutral Conductor connected to "White' 'marking terminal.

Green=Green power inlet wire to green ground screw terminal on inside of cabinet.

If required, green wire to green ground screw terminal on inside of cabint. (turn back to see the picture of "FIG2")

• Configuration: ETL LISTED, 50A, 125/250V, 12500W Generator Power Inlet Box, NEMA CS6375 or SS2-50P inlet plug, compatible with all 50 Amp NEMA SS2-50P generator cord.
• This power inlet box is an outdoor/watertight electrical inlet. To prevent dangerous carbon monoxide fumes from the generator from entering your house. Then it will be safely hardwired through an outside wall directly to the transfer switch or panel, eliminating the need for cords running through windows or doors.
• Power on indication: Upgraded with the Green Light Power on Indication on the lid, will light on when plug in and start power connection. Comparing with old version, this power inlet box is more visible and safer when working, especially at night or dark area.
• 1.2" knockouts on 4 areas (Left, Right, Bottom & Back) could connect to transfer switch and electric panel on multi-directions straightly. No more serious curving wire.
• The whole metal body is covered by anti-rust powder coating and the fliping cap could be shut down when it is not working in order to prevent dust, humid air and water.
