Answer:	I don't know. I use this as a filter mat above the pumps in the pump box for my Koi pond. Pond water flows into the top of the box, then through the filter mat, and is pumped back to the pond by the pumps.

Answer:	I already cut mine up, so I can't help you with the size, but I can tell you it's really tough stuff, so it's not easy to cut into intricate shapes. Unless your current filter pad is enormous you'll probably have plenty left over for a second or third filter pad.

Answer:	The roll is 72 inches long and 12 inches wide..you cut it to what ever size you would need. Buying this roll will save you in the long run. I consider this a course media..but the fibers are strong and stiff and dense...so you shouldn't need to replace very often at all. Great product.
