I just took delivery of my MKII yesterday, registered the hardware/software and inquired of their support after I couldn't find the $29 offer after following the link in the literature included in the box... and got this response: "I am sorry for this misunderstanding, but the 29 price was for a previous version of the software, the Analog Lab 2/3 but the price for the current version of the software has changed (this is the reason why you do not see the same price). Question:	What comes in the box
Answer:	I haven't used it with an H5 but I do own an H6 and yes, it should work. It doesn't need phantom power but it does require a lot of gain to get usable volume. I have it go through a cleaner pre-amp whenever I use it with the H6 because of this.

Answer:	Of course it will. This mic has an XLR connector. The H6 has XLR connectors and you have the choice of Mic or Line input. The H6 also has 1/4" phone connectors as inputs, so you can use a combination of XLR and 1/4" connectors. This mic is an omnidirectional, which means it will pick up quite a bit of whatever is in front of it. I use it for interviews on a 4k camcorder with an external 2 channel audio mixer, and it needs a relatively quiet environment (no interviews in shopping mall hallways if you don't want the interviewee to be lost in the noise) to get the best audio, but it does well if you want to get every nuance of what's in the immediate vicinity. I've never used it with my H6 (I do line recordings with it almost exclusively) but it should do fine with a good set of XLR mic cables.

Answer:	Not weighted, but as a lifelong pianist these keys are much better than the cheap non-weighted keyboards, I'd say semi-weighted for sure. Perhaps the other answer on here wasn't as experienced with technique to know the difference between this and the ones that are completely non-weighted. More control here without a doubt.

Answer:	It does not have the old school 5 pin DIN midi ports but the USB port is USB midi and works the same as the 5 pins. Actually better because you don't need a midi interface and it uses one cable instead of 2. It can also power your midi controller via USB, assuming your midi device supports that. I was skeptical moving from. 5 pin midi to USB midi but now that I have I no longer use the 5 pin cables if possible.

Answer:	I wanted to connect my Yamaha p125 to my ipad and was told to buy that ridiculously expensive Apple Camera Adapter. Instead, I bought an Amazon Basics regular USB to iPad Pro USB adapter for around 10 bucks. Works the same and a whole lot cheaper. Don't believe me? Go to Sweetwater's website and look at the demo video using the Yamaha keyboard with the ipad Pro. You can see the same adapter.

Answer:	I owned the Keystation 88 II, which has the semi-weighted feel. So, rather than guess at the answer to your question, I just checked the M-Audio website. Their description says that the Keystation 49 MK3 has a synth action. That type of action, typically, is a lighter spring feel than the semi-weighted feel. I actually liked the feel,of the 88 II. I owned two of them. One lasted four years. The second unit only one and a half years. I take particularly good care of my equipment. And don’t pound on the keys. However, they both failed far too soon, in my opinion. I have switched to the Nektar brand. Only time will tell about their durability. Good luck with your choice.

Answer:	I use the Rode Mic arm with this....and I LOVE IT!!! Springs are hidden, I have had ZERO issue with it slowly falling or moving, and it is silent when you do move the arm. I have it with the Sp04 spider mic mount. Love this mic and the setup!

Answer:	It doesn't come with any software, but it's a website where you register this item. Once you go to the website you download the software for free. By typing in the serial code of this product.

Answer:	The serial numbers for the product are on the OUTSIDE of the box, (which allows people who haven't bought it to register the software instead). So, you will have to make a tech support call to Samson. There is a sticker on the bottom of the box, probably starts with: "SAM...".

Cardioid Pickup Pattern

Picks up sound equally from all directions – in front of the mic, behind the mic, off to the sides, etc. This pattern is great for recording a number of people around a single microphone, like a multi-person podcast.

Picks up sound directly in front and back of the mic, while rejecting the sound on the left and right sides. This setting can be used for capturing two performers singing a duet or a cross-table interview.

Answer:	It does, but the microphone does not fit into the mic mount at all.

Answer:	Sorry to say that it does not come with a cable you can plug directly into your computer. But you can get a XLR(female) to 3.5 mm cable. Bad sound quality though! I would suggest buying a nice USB microphone, or USB audio interface you can can plug any mic in,whether it be condenser,dynamic, or ribbon. Which is most audio interfaces? Connect audio interface to computers' USB slot and then connect XM8500 to the audio interface mic input. Hope this helped!

Answer:	It comes with a cable but it is rather short. maybe around 3-4 feet long.

Answer:	Just run to a Best Buy or jump on Amazon to find a micro-USB cord. It's universal, therefore you don't have to use the one that came with it and they are pretty inexpensive. You could even use the one that came with your smartphone (depending upon what kind of phone you have).
Question:	Could this work as a gaming microphone
Answer:	I use it for Dragon dictation. The mic is great for that purpose, but it's sensitive to external sound sources so I'm not sure it would work with speakers your playing game audio. If you do try it, play around with volume settings to get it right as sometimes too high or low volume affects recognition of commands.

Answer:	Did you try using different cables? Are the headphones working for both Left/right when plugged in? Did you switch channels to see if the problem still there? The worst case is that you have a bad speaker. But you must go through a process of elimination to pinpoint the problem.

Answer:	Most monitor speakers are designed to deliver a flat frequency response (an example would be setting your treble and bass to 0 on your car stereo which wild make everything sound pretty bland). I use these speakers with my turntable so I got a simple DJ mixer with Treble/Mid/Bass EQ knobs so I can tweak the sound.
