User questions & answers

Question: I’ve had this sprinkler for about a month now and really like it. But it has started to turn very very slowly. Now almost not at all. How to fix this
Answer: I've had this issue too. I found two causes. 1, if the water pressure to the sprinkler goes down because of other water demand at your house or in the neighborhood, the sprinkler performance will be reduced. 2. if using the sprinkler assembly on a slope, adjust the telescoping legs so the sprinkler level (vertical) is level and not leaning. If the head leans too much, the pressure of the water being ejected can cause the floating/sliding head to rub on the head cylinder shaft and therefore add friction or even bind the head reducing its ability to rotate freely.
Question: i ordered these and got them in two days. I wanted to order more. Is there still two day shipping for prime members or is it going to take a month
Answer: Hello css828. Delivery from 4 to 14 business of days.
Question: I have a smaller garden. Can the adjustment be within 10 feet
Answer: Heavy duty metal impact sprinkler adjusts from 0 - 360 degrees.Covers an area of 20' - 40' radius.Tripod conveniently adjusts from 16" - 37-1/2" in height
Question: Is the coverage distance 80 ft from the sprinkler head (i.e., 80 ft radius
Answer: if you are looking for the entire circle that the sprinkler covers that would be the diameter not radius. So if this is similar to my other sprinkler it is 80 ft diameter and 40 ft radius

User questions & answers

Question: Can the upper part or the actual sprinkler be replaced? Do they sell the part individually
Answer: Yes the upper sprinkler part is easy to replace and can be purchased at most stores that carry garden equipment.
Question: How do you set it for full circle
Answer: You can have full 360 rotation by lifting the metal tab that normally engages with the stops on the sprinkler head. That tab moves with the sprinkler head and if you lift up on it, positioning it from a vertical to horizontal, the sprinkler head will no longer engage with the stops and travel a full 360 degrees
Question: How many gallons per hour does the head deliver? How long does it take to put 1 inch water on a circle
Answer: For a very rough estimate you would want to figure out your area to be covered by using (pardon the lack of proper symbols) Pi*R squared. Then you want it to be one inch deep so 1/12= 0.83333 and then there is approximately 7.48 gallons of water contained in a cubic foot. Lastly calculate the flow rate of water out of your house per minute, which will probably be 17-23 gallons per minute. An example for 300 hundred square feet would look like this. 300*0.8333=2525*7.48=187 gallons of water to cover 300 square feet under 1 inch of water. Since it would be incredibly difficult to calculate the flow rate and coverage of the sprinkler we will have to guess and use the flow rate number as a guide. The flow rate out of the sprinkler will be lower so if you had a flow rate of 18 gpm I would reduce it by a third, giving you approximately 12 gallons per minute.187 gallons / 12 gpm would give you 15.58 minutes or approximately 15m 35s. I also bet that it is way off from what it actually is and probably is longer and impacted by the wind too.I found this link afterwards which might help you out further and it looks like it calculates most things for you too.http://www.seametrics.com/blog/water-calculators/
Question: Can this be set up so that it doesn't rotate but stays stationary? I want something that can stand on concrete and aim hose at one spot
Answer: the rotate controls allow you to set it from a fixed angle to 360 degrees
