They are not meant to be used as a "stand alone lawn sprinkler"... As to whether the pipe thread in the sprinkler head is compatible with a hose end, I doubt it... The form and pitch of the female pipe thread is completely different from a male hose end thread...

Answer:	I would suggest finding an old Orbit Voyager pop-up - I always buy a couple to replace when the internal gears fail. Since this is the only feature which fails (the gears) It pays to keep a old spare for other parts which might need to be replaced such as when you hit the case with the lawnmower, or other things like losing the set-screw.

Answer:	Yes....... we have a slotted diffuser screw at the top of the nozzle that if is turned completely clockwise will stop the flow of water. The riser will still pop up but you will not have any spray from the head.

Answer:	It depends upon your water pressure and how far you will have them water. I have 10 of them from one line without a problem watering a 1000 square foot lawn. I would think that most houses have more than enough water pressure for 4 sprinklers. However, I did live in one place years ago where the pressure was marginal. It was on a hill and the old galzanized main line was corroded. Even then, there was just enough water pressure to support 6 sprinklers, but you couldn't take a shower at the same time you were watering your lawn.

Question:	Is the connection on this unit standard 1/2" NPT
Answer:	The tops don't actually break off. Over time the top unscrews itself from the bottom. There is no way to screw it back together from the top. You need to remove the bottom from the spike, and then you can screw it back together from the bottom. It is a simple process, and then just screw the whole thing back onto the spike.
Question:	What is the maximum distance it will spray
Answer:	It is 360, but back and forth not around and around. It can be set for anything in between. A PS: I have had great trouble with customer service as the units do not last very long (a year to 3 weeks)

Answer:	you need separate stand for it. I bought "Orbit 1/2-Inch Metal Ring Sprinkler Base 58030" they go well with it. These sprinklers worked well for me, they work the way sprinklers should work easy to adjust the angle and i get good water force (city water). Good luck.
