Answer:	A 12-4-8 NPK ratio is not a good formula for tomato fruit production. It's OK to give it this when the plant is small, but you will not get a good tomato crop if you continue with this ratio. Fruit production requires more phosphorus than this fertilizer can provide. I always have excellent fruit production with 10-10-10.

Answer:	I think if you put the wood chips on the ground and the chips on top it won't make a difference, it you put them on top of the chips, move the chips around until the granules are on the ground, and then put back the wood chips, should be fine.
Question:	Can it be used for rose bushes that have landscaping rock/gravel at their bases? I won't be able to mix it into the top layer of soil at all
