Question:	For those who have used these for quite a while, don’t the cotton string get slimy and gross from being in water for so long? Or even moldy
Answer:	I have several , one got algae growing. The pot and the wick became green. Just wash with dish soap and bleach. Do this when you repot. I am growing african violets and have dilute fertilizer in the water. They work well, would even be better if light did not penetrate.

Answer:	The hook you buy to put in the ceiling will have determine the weight limit for what you can hang. I too wonder about the weight limit for the rope. But since the seller replies regarding ceiling strength, I guess we’ll find out.
