However, before repairing your bare spots, we recommend that you ensure that soil is healthy. Patchy spots are sometimes indicative of unhealthy soil. A frequent cause of this can be from pet urination.

How do I fix bare spots caused by dog urine?

If the bare spot was caused by dog urine, water thoroughly prior to planting. Flushing the area will dilute the concentrated salts and help the seed fully establish.

Answer:	I'm positive that you can plant the seeds now. Colder weather will only slow the germination process. It may take a few more days before you see the seedlings. By the way, the product is excellent. I used it to repair my grass because of major new landscaping. It turned out beautifully, completely covering the planted area. Once fully grown, it blended perfectly with the "old" grass.
