Answer:	Yes, they can. I've grown marigolds from seed in pots as well as in the ground. They're pretty hardy and animals don't bother them; they don't like the scent.

Grow a garden filled with wildflowers that will attract an array of beneficial insects. The plants included in our Bird and Butterfly Wildflower Mixture will attract butterflies, bumblebees & honey bees, ladybugs and even hummingbirds as well! All plants will grow to a varying height of roughly 8 to 60 inches tall, with the majority ranging between 12 to 36 inches. A large sum of the flowers included are annuals, making up 70% of the blended seeds. You then have your perennials & biennials which account for about 30% of the seed mixture. Answer:	The rule of thumb is 50 - 70 seeds per square foot. So, 30,000 seeds is perfect for 500 square feet. However, I always assume that there are a number of seeds that will not germinate. So, I use this size for my 250 square foot area.

Answer:	You mean before of after planting? I am thinking I wouldn't want to divide to more than 1000 seeds for a person (30) , but you would probably want to add more filler. We planted these between the bottom of a retaining wall and a fence so we wouldn't have to mow. I started on outsides and planted more every few weeks (working in ). This made a "V" shape of flowers and blooms spring through fall.

Answer:	They are the same size as found in stores. This group varies as to amounts of sun required. Most are "full sun" in the variety I received. I am pleased with results.

Answer:	they are your standard seed packets- like you'd see at home depot. Depends on what size envelope. If you are hoping to fit them in a letter envelope, you may have to fold one of the sides horizontally. If you are talking about a larger envelope, then you should be ok.

Answer:	Hello I am a backyard birder and would go thru one bag every 2 weeks. I believe that they put expiration dates on their products. I have been purchasing these Sunflower seed from Amazon and they have always been fresh. They always have an expiration date on their bags. I purchase other seeds from this manufacturer. I order the Nyjer seeds from them and currently have a bag with an expiration date of 9/20/19. Seeds should always be kept in cool places. I have approximately 53 goldfinches, a lot of morning doves, Baltimotr Orioles hummingbirds etc. I have never had any problems with any seeds I purchased from this manufacturer
Question:	Could I fit the larger seeds through a jar opening that is 1/2 inch
Answer:	The only answer that makes sense to me is this: The shipping weight is in metric units where a metric pound is 500 grams. The "Wagner" weight is in imperial units. where an imperial pound is approx. 450 grams. So a metric shipping weight of 18 pounds (where a pound is 500 grams) is the equivalent of approx. 20 lbs in imperial units (where a pound is approx. 450 grams. Thus the metric shipping weight can be less than the imperial "Wagner" weight.
Question:	Does "Intended for the current and the following growing season." mean
Answer:	Don't know why it's now more per-pound in the larger bag. Doesn't make sense. When I bought it, the 40-pound bag cost less than it does now, maybe around $35 (don't remember the exact price). It's sounds like either Wagner's thinks consumers are dumb or that the company has just mispriced it. If the pricing continues as is, I'd just buy two 25-pound bags. That's a dollar a pound, instead of $1.125 a pound, and the 25-pound bags are easier to handle, too. Assuming you have Prime, shipping is free. I'd also check the price at your local Lowe's, Home Depot or similar -- sometimes they have better deals than Amazon.

Wild Sunflower

Wild Sunflowers are a branching variety of flower that produces beautiful, lemon yellow blooms, with reddish brown centers. Each plant will stand to a mature height of 2 to 6 feet tall. The stems may need support until maturity. Once established, they are very strong and will stand upright with no need for stakes or support. Helianthus annus is grown as an annual flowering plant that grows quickly, blooms profusely through the summer months and later dies with the first frost.

Velvet Queen Sunflower

Velvet Queen is a branching variety of Sunflower, which produces vibrant orange to red petals, accented with a dark brown center. Each plant will grow to a mature height of roughly 5 to 8 feet tall, and will produce large, 6 to 8 inch blooms. Velvet Queen displays multiple flowers per plant, and will attract all sorts of beneficial insects to the garden as well. Red Sun Sunflower

Grow Red Sun Sunflowers from fresh Helianthus annus flower seeds. Red Sun is a branching variety of Sunflower, which produces vibrant red petals, accented with a dark brown center.
