The ultrasonic signal and the White-LED lights will run for 15 seconds. Following this, the repeller will return to stand-by-mode." I have my Ultrasonic Dog Repellent placed on my front lawn (we live on a city street). When people walk by at night on the other side of the street or when a car goes by the lights will flash on...the lights work really well. There is no switch or anything to turn them off.
