Answer:	It would be better inside near a window or in a fully shaded spot outdoors. You will need to watch the water level it will need to be filled every couple days or the plants will dry up and the Aero-Grow will probably manfunction mechanically if it dries out.
Question:	My boyfriend keeps taking off the Grow Domes to look at the seedlings--is this bad
Answer:	You can take off the grow domes for a short period of time to look at the sprouts but put them back on. This are slow to start but when the seeds do sprout they grow pretty fast.
Question:	I bought it but I do not know How long run ignition light lighting? ? How many hours a day
Answer:	Hi Asmaa, Since you got the Herb Garden mix, all you have to do is on your selector on the Aerogarden push the button until it indicates Herbs. It will automatically adjust to the appropriate lighting cycle for the Herb package. You may find, depending on when you actually hook it up and start it, the lights may be on during the day or at night. The Garden takes the guess work out of how long for it to light. Question:	Just received the pods plant food and domes. where am i supposed to place the pods? no container came with it. did i get a shorted kit
Answer:	The seed pods go in the Tray Deck of your Aerogarden. Our Aerogardens all come with a free seed pod kit. Please reach out to our Customer Service Team on our website if you feel that you are missing an item from your order.
Question:	I have a three pod Aero Garden. If I purchase the 7 pod kit, how do I store the remaining pods until future use
Answer:	I, too, have a 3 pod aero garden & I purchased a 7 pod kit. Since the pods remain unopened and are tight inside the pod, I have left them alone until I needed another one, which I did the other day. Nothing was wrong & it germinated beautifully. I had no problems and, hopefully for you, you shouldn't either.
Question:	Will these pods work in the kids’ aerogarden version
Answer:	The kids garden, the Herbie, does not use the plastic basket portion of the seed pod. You can use these seed pods, just remove the sponge from the basket, then insert the sponge into the Herbie.
Question:	What can I do when the pod fails to grow
Answer:	I found that when I use filtered water one in every 12 pods fail. Aerogarden recommended DI water, tried that for a year and it went from 1 in 12 to 1 failure in 3. Went back to filtered water and success rate is back to 1 failure in 12. DO NOT USE DI WATER!!! As for the ones that do fail. Don't bother trying to have them replaced. You will get sick and tired of constantly calling Aerogarden. Also, they will send you a single loose replacement (not a sealed kit). By the time you get it, it will have been through the ringer with the seeds having fallen out and not be likely to grow. I think the reason the fail rates are so high is because they are making these things in Mexico with nearly zero quality control. These days I reuse my plastic holders, buy the growing medium online (50 for $10), buy my own seed, and grow my own. Guess what? Hardly ever have a failure anymore!

Question:	Mine did not come with grow domes
Answer:	Yes. The blades are parallel to the ground. I use mine to trim grass growing at the edge of a garden bed without any problem.
Question:	can i mix the herbs if so where do i find them
Answer:	These will work, but you might prefer shears that cut parallel to the ground, like the Spear and Jackson Lawn Shears. These are primarily for edging along sidewalks or garden beds.
Question:	What is the seed expiration date for this item
Answer:	I use them to trim the grass along the edges of my mulched gardens. Don’t think it can handle teasel. Also, hard to explain but, the blade is perpendicular to the handle but in a straight line if that makes sense, so it’s hard to cut across things (like hand shears would). Imagine standing and then walking along a garden edge with the shears and cutting grasses sticking/growing sideways into the garden bed. You would have to hold the shears sideways to cut through long grass to make a path and that’s not how they are meant to be used really.
Question:	All of my pods have sprouted except the thyme and dill, how can I get a replacement
Answer:	There is a small plastic tab on the side that you have to move a bit. It is there to keep the blades closed when you are not using the clipper.

Answer:	Well, I think they do to a degree. They're not as finely made as scissors, but the cutting edges meet pretty well and are decently finished. I did do a light honing on mine when new, just to smooth out any possible rough edges.
Question:	I bought it but I do not know How long run ignition light lighting? ? How many hours a day
Answer:	It's the angle between blades and the handle. 4900rss is at the 90 degree, and 4901 is at about 120, and I find it easier to use. The first one I would have to keep, practicaly between legs.

I have back and hip problems and find it hard to lift and start the weed whacker. These are very good especially to snip just a few weeds. I will keep them because they are useful, but rather pricey for light duty shears.
Question:	How long do the plants last, can I grow more than just the seed kit it comes with? What if I want tomatoes and lettuce at the same time
Answer:	Remove the thumb-screw in the lower housing. Open the lower housing (it is hinged). Place the trimmer in the proper location so that the handle and body of the tool fit the handle housing. Close the housing and tighten the thumb-screw.
Question:	herbs are mentioned for this 9 pod set. What is in each of the 9 pods
Answer:	No because there is no way to attach the two pieces. It would also be impossible to use it at the end of a handle. The hedge trimmer is a hand held tool.

Question:	I have an older Aerogarden model, it's gray, holds 7 pods, model #100629. Will the spacers for the salsa kit fit
Answer:	I don’t know what the metal is. However it stays sharp, unless it’s been not handled properly. I wipe it dry after use with a clean cloth and spray WD 40 before storing.
Question:	I just had the kit, how should I use the spacers
Answer:	The design is derived from actual sheep shears, but these are specifically made and tested for garden trimming. I can assure you that they are sharp, light and easy to use. We’ve used them extensively for cutting hedges and shrubs but we have never tested them on sheep’s wool. We don’t currently sell replacement blades but will look into it for the future.
Question:	If i order the pods and don't use and store is that ok? How long can I store pods before they are not good
Answer:	Yes they do cut near the end of the blades.

Question:	the parsley does not have a sprout Is this a common problem? Don't think it is going to do anything
Answer:	my experience has been that it will cut a branch about the diameter of the ink tube in a ball point pen or slightly larger than 1/16".

Answer:	What isn't made in china, my opinion I would not buy it, the battery would not charge up after a couple of uses, used it once in the fall then next summer and would not hold a charge
