Look at the cutting jaw and you'll see only one part comes to a sharp edge. Don't sharpen both front and back of the cutting jaw.

Answer:	The model pictured does not collapse/extend/telescope, the length of the handles are fixed a d do not adjust. it swings open and closed like most all other loppers. You must purchase a pair by their length. The "power gear" leverage is the best available and longer handles are easier to cut larger branches.The extending/telescoping model is the Fiskars 25-37 Inch Extendable Power-Lever Lopper (9168).

The quality s good although I had to loosen the nut that assembles the blades because it was not comfortable to open the cutter. Be aware also that because of the gear, the handles must be moved over a long distance: the centers of the orange grips are 125 cm (49") apart when the cutter is completely open to cut a branch of 5 cm (2").

Answer:	I live in Michigan and vinyl hoses will rack if you leave them outside in winter. Rubber hoses will stretch if water in it expands as it freezes. I have a rubber hose that I have had for 20 years. I live in Michigan and the hose has never been inside. It has been run over by my cars many times. After 20 years it is still in perfect operating condition. Try that with even a 'high quality' vinyl hose. As an aside, it is easy to find American made rubber hoses, like this Briggs and Stratton.

Answer:	I'm not sure if they will work for your 19.5 hp tractor, but my Briggs and Stratton engines I have are only 3 to 5 hp lawn and garden engines that I know the 2 air breather grommets will work on.
