Question:	How long does the batter last
Answer:	I don't know because they are part of my security system so I've never tried to take them off. They do however buzz at times when they get very hot. (I live in AZ) They aren't very loud either. Neighbors never heard one going off for over 10 minutes.
Question:	what is the difference between the standard electric fence system
Answer:	These do work off of vibration. If there is not enough movement then the alarm will not sound. If this is directly on a door then there is a high chance that the door itself absorbs most or all of the vibration necessary to set off the alarm. Question:	Will this system be able to function if I need to use all 5000' of wire
Answer:	I don't know but probably not as they take an enormous amount of vibration on the window itself to set them off. They are not very loud either as I cannot hear them on the other side of my (1400sqf) house. I do not recommend this product.
Question:	Can you put the wire above the ground as well as bury it

Question:	Are the collars light enough for 4lb Yorkies
Answer:	This transmitter will accommodate up to 25 acres worth of wire (5000'). The previous generation would only cover up to 10 acres.
Question:	Will it work through 4-5 inches of concrete
Answer:	We put the fence around our entire 10 acre property. There was an existing barb wire fence most of the way around and we attached the dog fence wire to the existing fence posts most of the way. To get across our driveway we put the wire inside a plastic water line and buried it. In some parts out back, where there are no fence posts, we put the wire inside old garden hoses and just laid it on the ground.

Answer:	No, the charger does not come with a battery. You, need a 12 volt car/truck battery to power the unit. I have one and a 12 volt battery will power this unit one to two months without recharging. I need to and will order another soon.

Answer:	It is very light. I did not weigh it but not more than 2 to 3 pounds at the most.

Answer:	About 7"w x 9"h x 4"d. This is my second charger and overall I have no complaints (the first one lasted 10 years and when it finally failed I took it apart and found that a solid-state component had 'smoked'). I ALWAYS keep my charger in a protected enclosure year round and what I found that works for me is a 'deck box' which is about a foot-and-a-half square which allows room for the marine battery that I use to power it. Only disadvantage to this is I cannot see the meter without opening the lid. Doesn't bother me cause I use a digital electric fence meter to check the operational condition of the system. My fence will measure about 8,000 volts and I recharge my battery about every 2 months.Hope this helps. (I live in central Missouri where we get a good assortment of weather conditions year round)

You don't want to drain a lead acid battery down too far....say down 20% (80% of full capacity) before you charge it. With a 80ah battery that means 16 amp hrs spent. So ~16 days. Sure you can go longer.....take the battery down to 50% and that's say 40 days. But not really that great for battery life long term.

Answer:	Depends on how many strands you’re going to run. M=Meters. 1 Meter=3.37 Feet so a 200m roll would be 674ft (200x3.37=674). Divided by the number of strands you intend to run. For a 250’ fence you’ll need 750’ for three strands 1000’ for four strands etc...

Answer:	It is a very thin wire, with a very thin coating. Mine works ok, but you will need to take care when installing that you do not peal back the coating. I put up about 800 foot of the wire, and have not had any issues.

Answer:	This charger can be used to deter raccoons. Electric fencing is not able to be placed directly on the ground as it will short out the fence line.

Question:	Would this be effective in keeping bears away from my beehives
Answer:	This will work for dogs, but it's effectiveness will depend on the size of the dogs due to the spacing of the horizontal and vertical strands on the fence. Please see the spacing of the horizontal and vertical strands of the net in the Product Description area of the Amazon web page for this item Very small dogs could potentially slip through the netting at the bottom. The net is 40" tall and weighs approximately 15 pounds, so is relatively lightweight and easily stored when rolled up. We do recommend that it be properly energized to be effective.
Question:	Has anyone used this for cattle
Answer:	The mesh fence probably would not be a good option on ground that you can barely walk up without ropes. Generally, this type of ground is very rocky, so the posts may not stay in the ground. Electric netting fence would work well on any flat land, but we recommend using non-conductive support (FiberTuff) posts at any ends, corners or major directional changes. It will also work on ground that is somewhat hilly or rolling, but we recommend using additional support posts in the fence in these situations or use our Plus nets which have posts woven into the net 6'8" apart rather than the normal 12.5' or 10' in the case of the Enhanced net that you are considering. Unfortunately, we do not offer our Plus nets on Amazon. Another option would be to use a multi-strand electric fence using conductive rope and t-posts with insulators. Answer:	Yes, there are 15mm (~.6 inch) diameter PVC posts woven into the net at 10 foot intervals to give the netting support. The posts have a 6" steel spike at the bottom to insert into the soil. As you have noted, non-conductive posts at corners, ends and major directional changes are also recommended. Thank you.
Question:	Is this a good product for the pacific north west? very wet here
Answer:	If the fence is properly energized, it should work for bears. You need to test the voltage on your fence after it is energized. Your fence need to have a minimum of 3,000 volts at the end of the fence furthest from the energizer to be effective. Bears are heavy with large paws, so they are well grounded so if properly energized they will receive a good shock. You may wish to initially bait the fence with some honey or jam, so they will touch the fence with their nose to get a healthy shock. Once they receive the initial shock, they usually do not wish to experience it again. However, please understand this fence is a pain or psychological barrier, if an animal is extremely hungry they will find a way to get through it.

Answer:	I've used it for 8 years on cattle. Even used it to contain bulls with cows on the other side without any bulls leaving to see the girls. Use a high quality charger with it and you will have no problems.
Question:	I have a solar 2 mile Electric fence well as product work
Answer:	Either color is visible to horses. I usually recommend checkered because it has better contrast and if you live where it snows. Simply because I think it is more visible to the horses in the winter. With that said we have been selling and installing Electrobraid for 20 years and we find that because the horses respect the Electrobraid you will be very satisfied with either color.
Question:	where do you get the z bulb
Answer:	I live in western Montana. It's not as wet as Portland or Seattle. I've had Electrobraid fences for about 18 years now. They were warranteed for 20 years. This was when all of it was made in Canada. The copper strands through the synthetic ropes are showing oxidation now, and probably will need to be replaced. Some of the wooden posts I set (3 feet deep) 18 years ago are rotting off at ground level and I'm replacing them one by one. The wet won't affect the rope, just check the slack every year or two and take it out occasionally. My main concern in all the really dry weather we have in the summer is poor grounding. I've got lots of extra ground rods around the pastures.
