Other than buying a couple cheap syringes (http://www.amazon.com/Syringes-Luer-Blunt-Fill-Needles/dp/B00OD4CRF0), it's no hassle. Refilling a cartridge with a syringe is much faster than using screw converters and I have yet to wear a cartridge out (will probably happen eventually). I bought a couple of converters and I never use them. Also, the ink in branded refills has few special properties--limited colors, is not water-resistant, etc.--so you're limited to what they package. |

CRUDE is rough grinding, FINE is the V shape of the recovery knife, and ESSENCE is polishing and eliminating burrs on the metal blade. The sharpening step is CRUDE, FINE and last ESSENCE. Follow this sequence when sharpening the knife, just pull the knife back to sharpen it, and grind it 3 to 10 times depending on the wear of your tool. |

This pen is unfortunately not nearly as versatile as the capped Safari pen. |
