Answer:	All pencils will smudge because it's lead or graphite so on your paper you just have to be careful. Using a table easel may help keep hands and arms off the rendering but anytime skin touches it it will smudge. As far as sealing it? I don't recommend it. Just put it into a frame with glass for protection. Keeping it in a pad will also over time pick up the lead graphite on the back of the white sheet that comes before it. Smudging is the nature of this beast.

When you sharpen them, it rips off the plastic sleeve, jamming up the shapener. THEN, if that were not enough, the pencil then falls apart! THAT RIGHT!
