User questions & answers

Question: Will this fit a lian li tu-150? it calls for a sfx power supply
Answer: No, its an internal power supply for a computer not a surge protector. If there was a power surge it would likrly pass right through It into the computer. Youd need an external surge protection device to protect everything including this power supply.
Question: does this come with a cable bag
Answer: I have not had experience with the EVGA, but Corsair and Thermaltake PSU's are excellent. which I would not recommend is the Thermaltake TR models, because there are many negative reviews about these models, but the Thermaltake Smart series work very well in the same way that the corsair psu's. both are certified with 80plus.
Question: Which model is evga supernova g5 or g2? the caption says g2 and the photo is of a g
Answer: His question makes perfect sense. This power supply only has one (1) 8-pin power connectors for an EATX motherboard, but it does include 2 PCI-E connectors if you want to run dual graphics cards. If your MB requires the 24-pin ATX and two (2) 8-pin EATX power connections, then this power supply will not work for you. I am returning mine as I write this because of the same need.
Question: Will this fit nzxt h210 mini-itx case
Answer: yes it will definitely fit and it will support a gtx 760, although you need to think in more variables while you determine the correct power requirements in your computer. you can check at http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp fill the correct information and you will get the correct power you need for your PC. Off the shelf this power supply should support the GUA880 easily even with the gtx 760. Also, this power supply has a lot better quality than the one that comes by default in the standard build fo the GUA880

User questions & answers

Question: I have a 600 watt APC UPS (Back UPS Pro 1,000). Am I safe with this 550 Watt Seasonic
Answer: The 80 plus bronze rating of the power supply describes the efficiency of the power supply. Based on this rating, the power supply will draw a maximum of 612 Watts of power from the wall when it is supplying 550 Watts to your computer. This assumes that your computer is actually drawing 550 Watts from the power supply when the power goes out.
Question: Is this PSU fully modular or just partial? Which cables are able to be unplugged
Answer: I just bought this 08/04/2019 from newegg because it was on sale there. The one I received is FULLY MODULAR. I like it, so far, so good.
Question: How many hard drives can i plug in
Answer: As of January 2020, this PSU ships with these cables: 1 - 24/20 PSU mobo connector 1 - 8/4 PSU mobo connector 3 - 8/6 PCI-e connectors with 2 connectors per cable 1 - SATA cable with 4 straight connectors 1 - SATA cable with 4 right angle connectors 1 - SATA cable with 2 straight connectors 1 molex cable with 3 connectors 1 molex with 2 connectors 1 molex to SATA cable with 2 connectors 1 molex to SATA 3.3 adapter Bottom line: one can connect however many peripherals as the supplied cables will provide, limited only by the number of mobo connectors. So, for example, if the mobo has 8 SATA connectors, one can connect 8 SATA devices be they HDD, ODD, or any other SATA peripheral. If one has devices with molex connectors, one can connect 5 such devices directly.
Question: I see that the picture shows no wires for the mobo does this power supply have these
Answer: I bought the SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze EVO Edition on newegg.com when it was on sell; It came w/ these "connectors", 1 "M/B 24/20P"; 1 "CPU 8/4P"; 1 "CPU 8P"; 2 "PCI-E 8/6P"; 4 "SATA" connectors @ 760mm, 2 "SATA" connectors @ 420mm; "Peripheral 4P" connectors 3 @ 640mm & 2 @ 420mm; 1 "FDD" @ 101mm. "P" = pins. The 'manual' shows 6 cables, I only used 4, no floppy drive so no "FDD" cable & I didn't need 'Molex'/ "Peripheral 4P" connectors.

User questions & answers

Question: Im going to have a intel i7 6700k cpu, with a gtx 980ti, & 2x8 corsair vengeance lpx 16gb @ 3000 mhz. will this be good for anything at or above these
Answer: Yes you're good to go with this power supply. It is a very nice quality unit and it will be more than enough. Heck, you can even use SLI in the future with any quality unit in the 850-1kW range using the 980 TI. I personally have this same power supply except with 750 watts.
Question: Does the HX1000i logo come off the side of ot? Or is it permanent
Answer: Its permanent. But there are some magnetic Logos (red, white and blue) they supply that can cover it.
Question: How many molex pci and sata atx 24 pin
Answer: ATX Connector - 1, EPS Connector - 2, Floppy Connector - 2, 4-Pin Peripheral Connector - 8, PCI-E Connector - 6, SATA Connector - 12. Feel free to go to http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hxi-series-hx750i-high-performance-atx-power-supply-750-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-psu. It's modular. All the 6 pin connectors are used for SATA/Molex connectors. The 8 pin ones are for PCIE cables.
Question: Will this be enough wattage for two titan x sli
Answer: I can’t speak for the Titans but it should be good. What I can tell you is 2 ASUS 2080Tis overclocked pull every bit of 1000W without factoring in CPU. I’m runnng an overclocked 9940X and between the GPUs and CPUs when both are loaded it pushes this PSU to its limits. I took someone else’s advice at first when they said a 1000W would cover it so I bought the 1200W and it could not handle the power. While you won’t see too many instances where the CPU on an HEDT PC with two high end GPUs pulling full load at the same time for an extended period it does happen. Ique graph showed output power logging 1500 watts for short peaks and its enough that I had to increase my UPS size from a 1600W to a 2200W because it was hitting overload. It’s all build specific and whether you run stock or overclock it.

High power and incredible efficiency in our quietest PSUs yet

HXi Series power supplies give you extremely tight voltage control, virtually silent operation, and a fully modular cable set. With all Japanese 105°C capacitors, they’re a great choice for high performance PCs where reliability is essential. 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency reduces operating cost and excess heat, and together with Zero RPM Fan Mode technology, gives you virtually silent operation.

Quiet, efficient operation

80 PLUS Platinum efficiency and Zero RPM Fan Mode mean that at low to medium loads, the fan doesn’t spin at all. And when you do push the HXi hard, the thermally controlled fan spins only as fast as it needs to.

But that’s not all. It’s quieter than most PSUs when the fan’s not spinning, too. The HXi is built with capacitors and other internal components specially selected to reduce coil whine and other electronic noise.

Easy Installation

The fully modular, low-profile cable set allows for quick and easy installation and great-looking builds. The fan self-test switch lets you quickly confirm operation before you even attach cables to your motherboard.

Intelligent Control. Unlimited Possibilities.

CORSAIR iCUE provides in-depth PSU voltage and performance monitoring, as well as stunning system-wide RGB lighting synchronization.

User questions & answers

Question: can this support 240v
Answer: This power supply has a 3 year warranty. Products are warranted against defects in materials, workmanship, and normal wear and tear. Defective parts/products will be replaced at no charge, minus the cost of one-way freight to our facilities. This warranty DOES NOT cover product issues caused by anything other than defects in material and workmanship, and DOES NOT include: Extended warranties purchased from retailers Any damage due to improper installation, modification, misuse, negligence, repair, abuse, or accidents Acts of nature such as earthquake, fire, flooding, lightning, etc. Failure to follow product instructions Product compatibility issues Failure in performing preventative maintenance procedures Non-Apevia parts received as part of a custom build Modified products Products missing serial numbers or warranty stickers/labels Shipping and transportation damages Any incidental or consequential damages to other components claimed to be caused by any Apevia product Any area or purchase out side of USA and Canada "Warranty void if removed" sticker been removed or cut off If a defect is found to exist, Apevia will replace the product with a tested, fully-functional unit. Apevia reserves the right to substitute items with those of a different color in the case of a shortage.
Question: Will the 750w be able to handle a 1080 ti and a amd ryzen
Answer: For your information, the Apevia Prestige Gaming PSU is not modular.
Question: can I do gtx 960 sli with this power supply
Answer: It should be a 20 pin or 20+2 for mobo power connector. 4 pin is power for CPU and other components. Will it fit your mobo? Well im sure you know it doesnt go on the mobo, right? If your mobo is an ATX, then the case should use an ATX power supply. The ATX form factor is a consistent set of dimensions that have nothing to do with brand. As long as your case is designed for ATX, then an ATX power supply like this and any other brand of psu labeled as "ATX" will fit.
Question: does it have enough pin for a 5700xt it takes both 6 and 8 pin togheter to power it
Answer: I have already installed the PSU and did not note the UL number. But l did check Andyson's as a supplier to the US. Apevia only uses Andyson according to the official supplier documents. And Andyson only manufactures for two brands to the US. Apevia and EVGA. I don't feel like taking my computer apart, but maybe one weekend I'll try to see if there is a UL number. For all intents - the specs exactly match Andyson and so does Apevia's official supplier lists.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it matter if you use the one pci-e 6+2 + 6 pin cable or use two separate 6 pin cables only for a card that takes two 6 pins
Answer: If you are only able to run a 6+2 by2 or whatever then run that. Any card will run fine and there is no need to stress. HOWEVER more Recently it has been found that very power hungery cards actually like having individual cables for every plug. Its a small gain but there is one to be found do to voltage drop across a power cable. This seems to apply to all psu's so dont turn your nose from the 1200p2 because the will all do this
Question: What is the length of the cable
Answer: Depends on the cable. Most of them run about 2 ', the shortest SATA is 21" and the longest 33". I've got mine running a mobo, cpu, and 6 gpu's + 6 pcie risers all the cables fit just fine. I like this PS. no problems and I like the modular design. Good Value.
Question: I live in Singapore, and we use Plug Type G (same as UK). Would I be able to use this power supply if I change the power cable
Answer: yes you would if you change the cable. the other thing you should care about is the voltage. here in the US it's 110V. If Singapore runs on 220V like a great part of the world, I would check first on evga site or download the manual to see if the power supply is dual 110/220. It should be but it's worth checking.
Question: So how much better is the platinum over the gold, power supply
Answer: Theoretically it is 3% more efficient in its use of power. Realistically you will notice no difference. This power supply is a pure luxury supply. There are more powerful, cheaper supplies, but this one is built like a 1970s Mercedes Benz. Rock solid luxury, for a price.
