Answer:	It is flat and you can use it on an induction stove top. The wood look handle is silicone and can be used in the oven up to 400 degrees. I have other more expensive pans but I prefer this one.

Answer:	That is exactly what I purchased this pump for, to replace a cartridge filter. This is a great pump. I hooked it up to my skimmer and also used it to vacuum the bottom of the pool. While vacuuming the bottom you can bypass the filter & discharge the water from the pool to eliminate very fine particles.
