Answer:	Sorry that I am not sure of, as I stated before it didn't read my 32 gig San Disk Extreme SDHC class10 60mb/s so I can't say either way. I will say as another writer mentioned that you have to use some pressure inserting the card it has to grab the card and sort of lock in, once you get that feel you know card is ready. I haven't purchased it again still considering it, Amazon did quickly inform me of my refund 2-4 business days from today.

Question:	I only have SATA on my power supply. Any support for SATA or do I need an adapter
Answer:	I am using it with a 2TB Seagate HDD for which I did not have a spare drive bay after installing an SSD for start-up and programs. Your Samsung is a standard SATA 3.5" drive, so I don't see why this would not work -- but I don't have any experience with this (or any other) Samsung drive.
Question:	How are the 4 USB 2.0 connected through one connection? I have 4 headers on my ASUS Z68 LX but each header only supports 2 USB ports at a time
Answer:	This docking bay was great when i first bought it. I plugged in a 1 TB drive and made it a clone of my internal drive. Without eSata, it's a little slow, but still worked fine. Later however, I think either Windows 10 or iObit's Driver Booster updated it's driver and it became seen as a Western Digital SCSI drive no matter what drive I plug into it, and it won't read any drive I put into it. Windows Disk Manager sees drives that I plug into it, but is unable to initialize them even. I don't know how to fix it, so it's basically useless to me at this point. I've tried uninstalling and deleting it's drivers, but Windows always puts it back to the WD SCSI driver again.
Question:	Does the card reader on this use USB
Answer:	Those ports aren't directly connected in anyway to any hard drive you insert as far as i know. The way it's "supposed" to work is you plug the docking station into your pc, then your pc can read the 2 USB ports, the SD card and whatever hard drive you insert. The one I bought worked great for about a month. Now, I can use the SD and USB ports for SD cards and USB drives, but i cannot access any hard drive anymore that i insert into the docking station. I have no idea why. My Disk manager in Windows 10 sees the drives, but says that it can't initialize any hard drive i put in there.
Question:	do i need usb 3.0 connection on Motherboard
Answer:	Go into Computer Management (right click on "My PC" and select Manage). select Disk Management. The drive should appear (probably as Disk1), Right click on the Volume in the drive and select Change drive letter and path and pick an unused drive letter. I had problems mounting some drives because they were configure to be drive C, which already existed.

Question:	Does the power light on this device stay on even when the computer is turned off
Answer:	Is your power LED on or off when the system isn't running. It will depend on the way your motherboard handles power to the USB ports. My motherboard allows you to set a jumper to use the +5V rail from the power supply that does go off and on with the system's operation. The motherboard also allows you to use the +5VSB (the SB means standby) to power the USB ports. That stays power supply stays on as long as the power supply switch (on the back of the PC) is on and the PC is plugged in. Some motherboards may not give you this choice. Check your motherboard manual. If +5V is powering your USB ports the card reader's LED will be off when the system isn't operating. If +5VSB is powering your USB ports then the LED will remain on. Why have a +5VSB? Well that's to allow your front panel power switch to be a "soft" switch that doesn't switch the full load of your system. It also allows other components on your motherboard to to powered up when the system is not operating. That makes it possible for you to wake the system based on the time of day, by taping a key on the keyboard or clicking the mouse. Those last two require the keyboard and mouse to be getting power all the time. Today, most keyboards and mice are USB devices so motherboard designers use the +5VSB to power the USB ports if they want you to have the "tap to start" feature. Too bad they don't let you chose which USB ports operate that way. I hope that explains it for those who seem to wonder why the other guy is experiencing the power light on or off when the system isn't running. By the way, a little piece of black tape can hide the LED and others have disconnected the LED on some similar card readers by clipping the LED's power lead. I haven't cracked this one open to see if that is possible because it doesn't bother me.

Answer:	You'll need to buy an adaptor -- without being powered the USB 2 ports don't work (at least for me). The adaptor is a couple of bucks... the good news is that the molex power connector on the device has both a male and female connector; you'll probably need a female SATA to molex power connector (these are relatively rare). It's too bad that the power connector on this device did not include a sata connector.
Question:	anybody have issues on formatting with this card reader
Answer:	It treats it as two logical 2.0 ports going into the box: one of the 2.0 ports covers the six memory card slots and the other covers a 4 port USB 2.0 Hub. The hub is powered by a MOLEX cable so the practical difference is nil. You can boot off the 2.0 ports on the hub just fine.
Question:	What is the maximum micro SD capacity it will support
Answer:	The card reader does not use USB 3.0; card reader connects to the USB 2.0 on the motherboard. Only the USB 3.0 ports use USB 3.0.
Question:	Another follow-up on somewhat similar question ... can i insert 2 sd cards (1 sd and 1 microsd) and will it see them both as 2 seperate drives
Answer:	Only for the two USB 3 ports to work. Everything else will work fine. If you do not have a USB 3 connection on your motherboard, you can get a pci-e USB 3 card for cheap (~ $10)and use that. Just make sure that it also has the internal connectors.
