| Answer: | It takes 2 steps to for the stun to work. The slider switch must be first slid to the second position (stun). Then you have to press the round button. I don't think it would accidentally fire. In fact, on ours, I felt that the slider was too difficult to slide into position. After about a year, I picked it up to test it and it wouldn't fire at all. So I took it apart and sprayed the switch with electrical contact spray. When I put it back together, I realized that what made the slider switch so difficult to slide was that it was screwed together too tight at the factory. So, I didn't screw it back together as tight and the slider works great now - and the stun works great! I also added a bead of hotmelt glue to the top of the switches so that it would make it easier for my wife to slide...not to mention she can now feel where the switches are in the dark. |
