Question:	Is the back solid? I want to put it on a table and use it for putting a jigsaw puzzle together
Answer:	This will work for what you want to do with it. The back is just the corkboard with foil on it but it will hold your jigsaw puzzle. If you are going to pin anything to it, the pin will probably go through the back.
Question:	What is the thickness of the cork
Answer:	Very thin cork veneer - about 1/32 of an inch, with cheap adhesive holding the cork onto a substrate backing material. Holds pins and staples just fine. This board is unlike the thick and meaty cork boards of the past. Looks smart and professional on the wall, even if el-cheapo quality, probably because thick cork is expensive. Our board arrived damaged during shipping, i.e. something had gouged the front of the board in several places, causing the cork veneer to tear away from the backer board. I simply used quality white glue to re-adhere the veneer in several places and called it good (knowing the damaged areas would be covered with documents anyway). I'm not a whiner and didn't want the hassle of returning the board either (only to take a chance on getting another damaged one in shipping). Be sure to read reviews before you buy. Good price, works fine. Note: sticker saying "Quartet" was in lower right hand corner of the metal frame - not shown in advertising photos. I peeled the sticker off. No big deal.

Answer:	The actual cork area is 34 3/8" x 22 1/4" (based on my measurements, subject to human error, that in now way represent a claim as to actual manufacturer's representations). Measurement device: Stanley 8' LEVERLOCK 30-534 (tape measure)Made in USA.

Answer:	It is not very thick, but have had no problems using standard stickpins or regular thumbtacks...do not use it heavily, though.
