Answer:	It's thicker than regular printer paper. I have never had a problem with tearing.
Question:	Does the paper in these books still have a laid texture (tiny lines in the texture)? I have an old one, and the paper is great; have they changed it
Answer:	Yes, this computation book still has the "old-school" type paper in it. The texture is there to better absorb ink. However, I still use pencil on my notebooks

Answer:	Not especially. They are thicker than a cheap notebook, but not "stiff". The book will bend unless you hold it in your knee or something while writing.

Question:	Is the cardboard back stiff enough to stand up the notebook? Original stenos did this to make it visually ez to type up shorthand notes
Answer:	I ordered the Lavender and just checked-yes-it stands fine for use as the document you’re referring to make notes while touch typing or hunt/peck. I would personally prefer a larger pad for this (at least 8 1/2 x 11) but if you’re comfortable with the smaller size (6 x 9) it will work great-unless the backing is bent/damaged. Mine were received in New Condition with no shipping damage. I would recommend this product.

Answer:	I just used this pad with first fountain pens and two different inks and I couldn’t get either to bleed through when I tried with heavy ink. It may just be luck of the draw with the inks and pens I am using. YMMV. Also very little to no feathering.

Answer:	The sheets are 8.5 x 11. I believe the larger measurement is tbe overall size, including the rings.

Answer:	The front cover is a very heavyweight paper--the same as what's used as the front and back covers of those divided, 8 1/2 by 11 spiral notebooks students use for note-taking. The cover bends, but it's sturdier than regular paper. The back cover is much thicker--like cardboard--and it doesn't bend. This gives the pad enough support that you could be standing and holding it on your arm and still be able to write easily on it. The back cover keeps it from bending and flopping about like a regular spiral notebook does.
