Answer:	It is for a single pad. Some seller messed up the listing by putting 12/pack - this means if you buy 12, it comes in one box. Don't expect 12 for the price of one.

Answer:	Good morning! "Journal" just refers to the page pattern. The Journal style is ruled, while our other "Universal" books have a 1/4" grid of solid horizontal lines and light, hashed vertical lines.

Question:	How clean do pages tear out
Answer:	I use mine with both pencil and cheap government issue ball point pens. For pencil, I use a mechanical pencil with softer lead then normal, costs the same just have to get it from a office supply store. Pen, I use cheap ball points and every now and then I a spot the pens don't write on but rare. If you try to write in the rain, cheap ball points don't work.

They are folded with a stapled binding so tearing out one page renders two pages free from the binding and the top edges are not going to be smooth.
