Question:	Is this the perpetual version
Answer:	The basic software - local non-cloud backup - is perpetual, with free upgrades within the same version. There are subscriptions available for optional cloud services. I run a wide variety of TI versions from 9.1 (on old XP systems, before the cloud was available) to 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 (on newer operating systems - I probably have over 30 licenses), and they all keep working on all the machines with no ongoing costs or renewals. Eventually, they'll stop updating older versions, but they still work fine unless you upgrade to a newer operating system that the older version doesn't support. I don't use cloud backups on any of these.
Question:	Is the 5 pc/mac version a perpetual license or the annual fee? I see given answers all over the map. The product description does not state either

Answer:	As usual, responses have been lumped together regardless of the version being considered for purchase. The boxed versions supposedly contain a CD ROM installation disk, the subscription versions appear to just have a download link. It would be nice to have an official response from the seller(s) telling us exactly what we get. I don't need to buy from Amazon if I want to download the software, I can do that directly at Acronis. I'm looking for the actual disk, Acronis True Image 2020 - 1 Computer. If this doesn't include the disk, please say so.

Question:	I want to backup a complete (entire) disk image to external usb hard drive and if necessary restore it. complete mbr/uefi,etc
Answer:	Ashampoo BacupPro 14 does not have a cloning function. Meaning you cannot boot from your backup, it must be "restored" to the computer. Backup (in it's own format) only. You ought to make a usb "recovery" drive which will let you boot into Backup Pro 14 and then proceed to recover the previously made backup.
Question:	Does this product have a feature to completely clone bootable disks, both ssd and hdd, and between the two types of drives
Answer:	This program allows you to backup partitions and hard disks.
Question:	Can you boot the rescue program standalone and take an image backup of multiple partitions? I don't trust inline backups and never have
Answer:	Haven't tried it. You can make a USB boot drive. So-called Rescue drive. My particular instance has a triple-boot arrangement, W10, W7, XP. These are on drive C, D, and E. (viewed from the W10 instance...they change in the other instances). You can make a backup of all 3 drives, I have done so. And you can restore all 3...but you cannot chjoose one to restore and not the others (so I was told). I certainly presume the rescue drive can see the needed backup files. But you just got me to worrying...the backup files are on a USB external drive and would that be available for a rescue drive boot? I don't know. In several ways this is a pretty useful program, in others it is not up to what other packages can do. It cannot make a "clone" for example. But it can, so far un-tested, back up and restore multiple operating system drives. And the price, $20, beats the snot out of the others like Acronis, EasusToDo, and so on. (yet I still have and alternate the use of other backup applications...belt and suspenders sort of thing!)
Question:	Can i install it on the d drive? my c drive is full so looking for a product that does not have to be on the c drive to work
Answer:	I would think that should work, not sure you can backup to the same drive the software is running on. I use an external USB 3 gig drive as a backup drive. The software works well, I am very happy with it. I backup my files daily and backup the C drive every week. I have the operating system on C and a few programs installed on C. The C drive is a solid-state drive. I also have a E drive which has most of my programs installed along with pictures, music, documents etc. The E drive gets backed up daily. Hope this helps.

Answer:	They will auto re-new 30 days before your subscription runs out, UNLESS you have turned "Auto-Renew" off on your account. The renewal cost will be huge compared to the original ($30?) price you paid - $139 - $159, etc. If this charge shows up on your credit card, immediately call the support number listed to request a refund. After the usual sales Yadda-Yadda including lower price offerings (still way high) they will politely cancel the charge and refund it to your card very quickly (+/- 48 hrs).
